Brilliant service, super friendly and kept me up to date with regular progress reports. Fixed two high end LG designer monitors by replacing the board that contained the faulty usb c port. Save a lot of money instead of replacing the screens. Would highly recommend if anyone is going through a similar thing. Lovely people
Rip off of the highest order. I used to give these people respect and my time, but let’s be real…I was ripped off big time. And they know they ripped me off. Shame!
Great little shop. Bizzare 1 star reviews saying they didnt fix my thing but i had to pay for their time. Duh. I use this shop a fair amount and they are nothing but helpful and polite.
I have been here twice once to get a lamp re-wired which was quoted for at a reasonable price and ready within days, the second to choose some bulbs (the kind with the filament visible), John's wife kindly helped me by testing each bulb I was interested in so I could see what they look like on which took 10/15 mins all with a smile on her face. A few weeks later I've been in to purchase the bulbs and John served me. I've never had anything other than friendly, smiley and helpful service and will definitely go back.
I Have been living in the area for a few years now and decided to use a local business as my tv had broke, I had spoken to this company and they quoted it would take around week to fix and they had asked for deposit money which was fine, a week goes by and I had no contact from this company at all, I had called a number of times to be fobbed off with useless excuses to then be told my tv wasn’t fixed at all let alone even examined, I finally asked for my money back and I would take my business elsewhere but I was refused my money! I am appalled and ashamed at this company and would never use again!!! Avoid at all costs!!!
The owners are rude. Quick to take customers money, vague - deceptive. Unable to diagnose faults. Unable to specify which parts caused the fault or need to be replaced. Did not produce a written diagnosis of any faults. What exactly did I pay for? My electronics weren't even disassembled. Go elsewhere will be contacting the local authority to have this business audited.
I too used to go there and recommend in my support of small local businesses, but having looked at the reviews here I relise there's a pattern by which they are good and nice until things go wrong. In my ordeal (documented with emails, sound recordings, and correspondence with the Citizens advice consumer service) this included, losing a part, denying it, lying about it and about the original fault, overcharging and lying about it, rude and aggressive behaviour, and many weeks to get matter resolved (in my favour).
My mum has taken my stereo to get fixed as a nice surprise. They said it would only be £20 to look at it and around £100 if they found the bit, serviced and fixed it. They have now not been able to fix it and will not return it to her unless she pays an additional £28. £48 total for something they have not fixed. I have recommended and regularly shopped and used this store. I am very disappointed to say this will no longer be the case. It actually saddens me that this has happened as this was a local business that I really respected and appreciated.
