I had a fantastic experience shopping at this Robert Dyas location. I was in need of a new kitchen trash bin and counter compost caddy and I was able to purchase both as well as bin bags for far less than similar at department stores like John Lewis. The staff was incredibly helpful with showing me what they had in stock in store. The Addis 30L stainless steel can I purchased for £19.99 seems very good quality and is perfect for my kitchen needs. I will definitely be shopping at this Robert Dyas in the future for other items to set up our new flat.

A shop full of goodies for your home. The basement is like a tardis and decent value for money.

Disappointing visit. The staff did not seem engaged in the job, only in their own conversations with each other, while I was clearly looking around for a product or service. Finally found out where the key cutting is done, but wasn’t offered any prices or variations etc prior to the cashier just beginning the process with not much enthusiasm except a moan that someone had put the padlock on upside down again. Needless to say I took the business elsewhere. The shops decor could do with an update. Won’t be returning in a hurry.

Very nice shop with a wide range of home goods. The basement is surprisingly large so you should have no problem finding any specific thing you need. Affordable prices as well.

So grateful that this shop is here. There's always some nice stuff for your home here. From hardware to homeware, decorations and more. The basement in this location is bigger than the ground floor, so there's lots more in there than y you might think.

Our wheelchair lost a nut and a bolt. Under the helpful assistance of Terry, we managed to fix it and find the appropriate tools for the job. He even helped to improve the mechanics of it. Definitely strong technical knowledge with great service

The lady at the till upstairs was so rude and miserable. I was waiting in the line, the person at the till left but the lady didn't say ”next please” so I thought I wouldn't move forward to be polite (just in case she's busy with something). The person behind me asked if I was in the queue and I said I wasn’t sure if the lady was ready. She said yes so I moved forward and asked her if I can get a quote to post an item via DHL. She said ”no” in the bluntest way but there were DHL stickers at the till. Then she said I had to go downstairs. The Assistant Manager downstairs was very helpful though. I'm not expecting super friendly service but at least be professional.

Most unfriendly staff in that shop apart from the store manager who is very helpful. Other shop assistants have an attitude and it feels like you are bothering them when you need their help. My advice: unless you have no choice go to another branch where friendly faces will treat you better.
