    I normally use Wicks Northallerton, a good service and the products well maintained/stocked. I went to the York store due to a job location. Found the joint compound out of date, advised the manager, who was not the best to deal with. He said he would sort it.... i went back today, its still on the shelf and well out of date, apart from the odd bag, sadly some DIY people may buy it not knowing to look at the date, and your selling out of date products KNOWING which makes it worse ! Poor standereds !

    Ordered a kitchen may... arrived in August fair enough. We were rail loaded into taking the only kitchen fitter they had available, they also stated theyde get all workmen in to do pre work, they didnt. I had to scrounge around and ask favours of friends. When it was ready for the fitter wickes sent, very little of the design fits. the doors for the integrated fridge freezer were wrong, kick boards wrong.sizes of boxing in wrong. We spent days and days waiting for the replacements wickes promised they had sent... they hadn't. When the doors came, the fitter didnt know to raise the fridge up to help it fit. (tbf the fitter did some great work to cover up wickes mistakes) Now We are waiting for someone to come and actually fit the doors for the integrated fridge again. Heres the real issue, trying to get these issues sorted has been a nightmare... our fitter desperately tried to get wickes to send the right stuff. we contacted them... they said they would escalate they never did. We had to keep chasing and chasing each time being passed from pillar to post. We've had calls from their customer services claiming they have spoken to us when they haven't.. . thats been a good one lying straight to our faces effectively. They lie about price being 50% off... they double the price of units before a 50% sale... thats not my facts but bbc watch dog. There's a facebook website that reviews wickes kitchens i suggest any one reads that before going through wickes for a kitchen. Get your own fitter if you do... they add an absaloute fortune on top before the poor fitter gets paid. Pathetic after sales, pathetic designs as nothing fits. I urge you to think before you buy.

    A modern, clean store I bought a few small items at. No queues with bored staff that were happy to suspend their lighthearted pass-the-shift conversation to serve (many aren't). Convenient location for me attending a meeting close by. Used their 'Trade' scheme card.

    Helpful staff Quick service Good selection of products can be slightly cheaper than B and Q. which is less than a mile away if they don't have what you want. Kitchen and bathroom fitting service here. I had my bathroom fitted by them it's ok. Scratched bath when installing. Sink tap slow running on hot water. Shop round for best results . Having them back for problems is time consuming.

    Went for a new kitchen, the salesman was brilliant, very patient, he spent time a lot of time twerking things, it was a great experience, untill the delivery, the kitchen was delivered ok, but the work top installation kit (specialised)was not in stock, said the 31st January, got a phone call now 7th February, got a phone call now the 14th, that's if it comes, the problem being, if your installer can not fit it then he has to came back, then you cancel again and rebook him, and it costs you more money, this is not acceptable, so no I would not buy from Wikes again

    Ordered and paid in full for (as required), replacement bathroom, en-suite and cloakroom in December 2021. Now in January 2023, most of the work completed but still have un-useable shower as it leaks into the room below. 9 months of unfulfilled promises as to when the work would start and the disruption of making myself available only to find the work did not take place. First promised for April, finally started in September. A 3 week job took over 8 weeks as work was intermittent because the fitter was doing other jobs elsewhere. Toilets were taken out and waste pipes left exposed for 5 weeks creating a stench from the drains. At one point, after draining and refilling the CH system, it would not fire up. I asked what I should do and the fitter said(as he left ) you'd 'better get a plumber'). Received many apologies and two small 'gestures of goodwill' but nothing can compensate for the stress and disruption to my life that I have suffered this last over the last year by handing this job to Wickes.

    Terrible customer service. Went all the way out (25 minute drive) for a product that was in stock (11 in stock) and when I got there I was told it was a on a high shelf by the girl on the till (who was on her phone when I approached and only put it down once I spoke). She called someone to get it down who said they can do it for the morning. I said I need it for the morning and just drove all the way... and she called the manager back who said she was too busy. Ridiculous customer service.

    Had most of what wanted, nevertheless good selection if products at reasonable prices. I was particularly delighted with the member if staff on check out. Very helpful, polite and knowledgeable.
