Had a lovely breakfast here for my daughter's 20th birthday, decided on here due to the name and both of us being Jaws fans, and the fact his family house is literally around the corner. But yes, typical fayre at a spoons, and as my daughter is in uni, it's somewhere she's comfortable.
I've been to a lot of Wetherspoons around the country and this one, my local, is almost as bad as the one in Rhyl. Just fancied a few nibbles with my family and the pizzas had uncooked dough and the chicken strips although OK, one had been re-cooked (tough and chewy) which is a big no-no with chicken. It's not the first time I've had a bad experience here. Why can't they do it properly, it's not difficult and the place was not very busy so the kitchen have no excuses. The pizza oven needs to be at the correct temperature to cook a pizza properly, the ones I was served looked like they were heated up in a dry frying pan. There was a quiz night in progress too probably in an attempt to drum up business because it's so quiet but the guy calling out the questions sounded like an 80's lakeside darts MC or a WWF wrestler in a pre-match interview with loud music and jingles, couldn't even understand what he was saying. Ghastly. I will go to the Sir Henry Tate in Chorley next time and avoid this low-dem-dump.
Not the best! A long long time since i visited a Wetherspoon pub. My return wasn’t a great experience! The service wasn’t great. No direction to the coffee station. A fellow customer had to help us. The food wasn’t great tasting and very little in its portion. The only saving grace was the sausage which was flavoursome. Next time I am in the area I will find an independent cafe
Decent enough Wetherspoons had 3 thirds in their Spring 2023 beer festival, all were very good. Smart tidy interior, sufficient bar staff on and was quickly served despite being fairly busy on a Thursday afternoon.
Great food great staff. I can't comment at peak times but mid week service is fast . We order on the app & it's so easy. The only criticism is that they don't offer wholemeal bread with any of the breakfast items. Such a simple addition would make a big difference to those that can't eat white bread .

One of the nicer 'Spoons in the area. Regular in-store deals on Manager Specials and the usual cheap pints across the brand. Upstairs beer garden but can be very busy in general. Same food but the advantage of a pizza oven too.
Very busy plenty of staff got served straight away brilliant work
Went for food, great service, and very helpful staff, if you want some thing to eat and drink the deals are affordable, food was hot and well presented. Can get busy. Clean with disabled toilet on ground floor, wheel chair access, other toilets upstairs.
