    Helpful and friendly staff, the room was OK. A bit noisy, but my stay was comfortable enough. Breakfast was decent. Cant complain.

    Staff are very friendly and welcoming, however the rooms are dated and the matress I had was probably past it's sell by date, due to the springs nearly popping through!

    Why stay in a characterless block of rooms when you can be welcomed into a Pub Hotel with heart. A great place to stay. Yes, a little tired around the edges but more than made up for by the sociable staff, comfortable and well proportioned rooms, steaming shower, and amazing breakfast (thank you Paula). The fact that there is a good selection of drinks in the bar is a bonus.

    Easy parking a great bar, and sports bar. Great breakfast. Rooms were good although they looked a bit tired in places but the price is great.

    Celebrated my wife's 30th birthday here on Easter Saturday in the garden bar. Paul and all the staff made it a brilliant night for everybody, nothing was too much trouble, even supplied a DJ for the night. The buffet food was excellent, and plenty of beers to choose from at good prices. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to book for a birthday party! Thanks again to everyone at the kings head.

    Great place, don't let the outside put you off going in. Nice bar, and fantastic function room for all occasions. Lovely and clean, warm traditional pub.

    Reviewing as a B&B guest, rather than for the pub. Room was small, depressing. Toilet seat broken, shower pressure swful, mattress sub standard and it was unclean. The noise from pub punters might be to be expected, given it is a room above a pub, but would argue more soundproofing could be offered. Breakfast, served by a lovely lady, was the redeeming feature. Overall, better as a pub/function room than a B&B I would suggest.
