   We had our Christmas meal this week at The Bowling Green, 22 of us, ordering from the large party menu and we had the best night. Communication in the lead up was brilliant and then on the night the whole team were so friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic, everything went perfectly. Thank you for having us! Would definitely recommend it if you are looking forward to take a group.

   The Bowling Green was recommended to us for food and we were definitely not disappointed. The food is all fresh, so delicious and very reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend if you are looking for amazing home cooked food

   A large group of went on a very wet Saturday afternoon and the place was rammed. Luckily we had booked and our table was ready for us, it was in the best spot for a large table so we're very happy with that. Whether it was because I was expecting too much but I found the food to be 'average' on this occasion or it may because we were a large party I'm not sure. This seemed to be the general opinion of the group with the exception of the pasta dish from the specials board, the person that had this said it was very good. It wouldn't stop me going back as I like the place, good for parking and easy to order individually if you are a large group so no faffin around splitting the bill at the end but just wouldn't expect the food to be anything special. Hopefully it was just a 'one off' but still okay for a non special occasion .

   2nd visit, both times the food has been amazing! Staff both times extremely helpful and Friendly even when very busy, had lots of time for us. Excellent value for the standard of food too!

   Went in on sunday 26 March 2023 for lunch for the first time, but never seen a bunch of none accommadating staff, with no manners and an attitude. Upon arrival, we were sent to our table, but not advised that we had to order drinks at the bar and food at the hatch. I asked the tall blonde member of staff for two lattes at the food bar and she replied, "you dont get from here in a bad attitude, you get them from the bar". I said, oh sorry, I haven't been here before so I didn't know that. She just walked away with no manners or thanks. She needs to learn some customer service skills as she was very ignorant, rude and miserable. The food was lovely, but the staff were awfull....makes me not want to go there again!!

   Booked for a table of 4 a week ahead and specifically asked not to be seated anywhere near the door as its v drafty and cold as people walk in & out of the pub. Was told it wouldn't be a problem. On the night when we arrived the table we was offered was right next to the back door and was a bit small for 4 people we asked again if we could be seated at a different table away from the door as they said they we fully booked and had no other tables except that one we kindly left and had a v nice thai meal up the road instead. Their loss. We may go back again we may not. More than likely we may not as there are 100s of other places locally we can have dinner at . Good luck

   Had the cheeseburger quesadillas and they were phenomenal! Very big portions tho could possibly offer 2 sizes ! Very busy pub had to wait for a table but that just shows how good it is! Drinks good price too.
