Dim settings and long serve times, no music, questionable atmosphere - beer - very cheap good quality. You know what you're getting from a trip to Spoons. You get it too, fair play. Take the obligatory stout walking kit for your hikes to the bathroom facilities, no oxygen for this pub, luckily no stairs.

Traditional breakfast….awful…..cold. Egg warm, bacon burnt and cold, beans barely warm, harsh browns looked like they were cooked the day before, toast ( warm bread ). 1 working coffee machine in the whole pub, a queue of 6-8 people every time you wanted a refill …. Absolute joke of a place.

Nice place to pop in for a pint or some food. Plenty of seating, large bar. Menus on every table

Not the largest pub I've visited out of 389 in the JDW chain. Nicely decorated, including an impressive fireplace; small rear garden, and a good selection of ales. I had a Vanilla Mild, pizza with extra chillis and a hot chocolate for around £15. Pleasant service and polite clientele, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It's worth a visit if you're in the area or ticking off 'Spoons

Pretty much the same as all other wetherspoons establishments. Cheap beer and cheap food. You pay for what you get. Don't moan if you're steak isn't cooked the way you asked it's a spoons for god's sake. You might see a lad called Big Dec. Steer well clear of him. You can't miss him his head is massive.

Had a lovely Jalfrezi curry with Naan and freshly made poppadoms. ALSO a mixed grill. Excellent and good value for money with a free double brandy. Atmosphere was calm but with a slight buzz about it. Good mix of company. Excellent surroundings and the staff are fabulous, courteous, helpful and hardworking.

The burger arrived without the extras I paid for. Then asked for bacon and cheese, it arrived fresh from the fridge on a separate plate. Absolutely a joke.

Ordered the char grilled chicken......it definitely was not char grilled. The food prices are ok, but the portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller. Can't complain about the drinks prices though :)

Smashing people with a smile. Excellent ale, found an ale called Beer O clock here. Sensational. My only gripe, the horrific use deep fat fryers on the poppadoms .. they were slipping out my hands; I mentioned it, the lovely staff were only to happy to rectify .... Great spoons this one ... Well done!!
