The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly. We had the festive menu. We Will definitely be going again.
Booked a table for a birthday. Waiting time for the meals was 1 HOUR. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, and nobody informed us when taking the order that the waiting time would be this long. This is disrespectful and unbelievable. When the waitress finally brought our food, she said there was only one chef in the kitchen that day — that should have been communicated when we arrived. And the best part: the starter (soup) was served after the main course. To pour a soup into a bowl takes an hour, do you believe that? We used to love this place, but this is completely unacceptable.
Our gardening group has been coming here for the past several years for our Christmas meal, and it never disappoints. The food is excellent and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. We had one member of our group that had never been to The Queen Of Hearts before, and she said she is definitely going to start coming more often.

I went to visit a family friend in Runcorn and the weather seems really nice. After spending a couple of hours at my friends, I thought it would be nice to go out for a meal and to be able to watch the football match. We ordered drinks and food. The starter was not up the amount charged. However, the main course complimented that. The portions are moderately reasonable and also tasted nice. The environment is very bubbly and neat, I must say. It was a mixture of the elderly and the young ones. In fact, there was Bingo being played in other sections of the restaurant. Outside is another lovely area to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful atmosphere. However, the only observation, which was a bit of concern to me, was that proof of payment in terms of receipt is not provided. It looks like a norm there at Queen of Hearts. Supposing someone working away is to eat there and needed receipt for company or business purposes. I guess it will have to be provided on demand, which shouldn't be. Receipt should be issued as a fundamental proof of payment without being asked. The toilet was nice with a cleaned floor. Above all, it was enjoyable, and there was sufficient car park for punters.
We attended last night for my nieces 21st birthday meal, we had a great night. The staff were amazingly helpful, very friendly and attentive. All of our needs were catered for and the bar manager even brought out my nieces birthday cake and lit the candles for us. Nothing was too much trouble and can’t wait to return again soon.
Had my uncles funeral here today, what can I say it was a fantastic buffet.Lovely food and plenty of it. Nothing too much trouble, catered for in every way possible hot food of great quality and quantity Thank you so much to Lee and his team for making it a lovely end to a sad day. I called in here on Saturday whilst my passengers were watching the football. This place has a good menu and reasonable prices. The sirloin steak I had was spot on as was the jam sponge pudding I had. If I'm ever in the area again I shall certainly be calling in again. I definitely recommend this place.
