“I also visited the store in Runcorn Shopping Centre it was - Fantastic Ham & Cheese Panini – (they’re all home-made in their own bakery y’know?) and the shortbread was absolutely A1 – just like my Grandmother used to make ! Oh, and the coffee there was brilliant there too.”

“Excellent northern soul on 30december ...4 different djs playing vinyl...great afternoon/evening...really lovely warm and friendly atmosphere..bar staff very friendly and polite...I would definitely recommend a night out here in the new year...entertainment every weekend. Reasonable bar/drinks prices.”

“Went to bed last night no supper debated on Indian (Tandoori Night) chose to wait till morning Anyhow I’ve been to Sizzles many times in the past Today I decided on a Sunday breakfast delivered Sausages are proppa butcher’s sausage nice n tasty Bacon was amazing it’s thick cut not like other cafes Eggs were nice but next time I’ll ask for runny Black pudding cooked to perfection crispy both sides Those Triangle yokes lol hash brown thingies I don’t normally eat but these were nice crispy coating and fluffy inside Toast in a foil bag different but good Beans and tomatoes in separate containers keeps everything clean Mushrooms tasted like home cooked not out of a tin I’m gonna say they were home cooked and they were excellent Sauces in separate containers I’m a greedy man and couldn’t finish it so egg, hash, n a few beans for tea All in a brilliant breakfast thank you ever sooo much”

“Our gardening group has been coming here for the past several years for our Christmas meal, and it never disappoints. The food is excellent and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. We had one member of our group that had never been to The Queen Of Hearts before, and she said she is definitely going to start coming more often.”

“My favourite venue. I meet there with my friends two to three times a week. The staff are lovely and helpful. There is plenty of parking. The only two complaints I have is the outside door doesn't close properly and on occasion they run out of brown bread.”

I collared her, whilst she was busy, to ask if Asda had stopped doing a particular type of yoghurt, she looked at why none on the shelf, sorted the issue and by the time I went back in 3 days later they were back in stock!!!! “Food is best in Runcorn - fresh proper cooking. Very flavourful. The soft tacos are amazing, loaded fries and burgers all better than most big city places. Chips are some of best I've had anywhere. Staff are super friendly and food is cooked quick whilst still being top quality. Great atmosphere for drinking and cocktails always nice, good variety of drinks, great atmosphere. Always doing takeout food at the weekend as a treat and food value compared to others in Runcorn”

“Lovely theatre, modern, spacious, well equipped, located right alongside a canal with it's associated wildlife. The cafe is good value, and the cakes and shortbread are outstanding. Plenty of staff around to help. Currently undergoing some building works, which will further improve access. This is our new favourite theatre, despite us living on the doorstep of the Shakespeare North, which is working had to out-price itself, while offering far inferior (although "authentic") bloody uncomfortable seating. Highly recommended !”

“Always a great time here. Ample free parking (when others park more considerably, failing that there’s street level parking too). The staff are always friendly. Card payments only. Great walks nearby. Loads of green space and picnic tables to sit at. Next to some horse fields too, if that’s your thing. Very reasonable priced. I visit at least once a week.”

“Was just looking for somewhere to have a quick bite to eat before the theatre. We had a pizza and a risotto and was absolutely amazing. We were very impressed and will definitely return. Didn’t give atmosphere 5 stars as we went very early so only a few in. Staff were wonderful”

“Not cheap but not too expensive, a lovely choice of food and drinks. Plenty of free parking at the side of the Deli and they are dog friendly, then after eating take advantage of the many walking trails. Easy walking, if you are planning to take the kids or dogs. Get up on top of the quarry for a great view of the Mersey. Staff were very friendly and they also have toilet facilities on site.”

“Fantastic pub. Extremely lucky to have this on our doorstep. Food is consistently good and miles better than what you would expect from a pub - personally I’d recommend the Norton burger. The Sunday roasts are great too. Lots of events and things to do here, has a nice community feel to it. Great staff and Claire the landlady is the most welcoming person.”
