Great pub real history attached to it. In a prime easy to get to location, plenty of parking spaces. I have only ever been for lunch so canβt comment on the atmosphere as a whole. It has a nice chilled atmosphere during the day the pub is sparkling clean has spotless toilets, the staff are lovely and all the lunches we have eaten here have been spot on quality with a good menu selection. It has lots of events on through the months has a community feel to it.

Called in today for an early evening meal and a bottle of wine. Only ever been in here once before, which was last Saturday when we had a quick couple of drinks, we decided that we would be back and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, I had the Street Food menu, Steak Peppercorn & Fries and I can honestly say that it was wonderful, I have never tasted a better Peppercorn Sauce, ever, I commented that I wanted to order a gallon of it. Great pub, great food, very friendly staff.

Fantastic pub. Extremely lucky to have this on our doorstep. Food is consistently good and miles better than what you would expect from a pub - personally Iβd recommend the Norton burger. The Sunday roasts are great too. Lots of events and things to do here, has a nice community feel to it. Great staff and Claire the landlady is the most welcoming person.

Faultless Sunday roast. All meat sourced from local butchers and paired with fantastically kept real ale. Service 10/10 and very attentive regarding allergies as my wife is coeliac and this is without doubt the best Gluten free roast you can get, even has a handmade Yorkshire pudding. The dining areas are also animal-free which is a big bonus for us, with low volume music and kept separate from the areas showing sports. Same landlord for 20+ years - you can't get a much better suburban pub than this!

Only stayed for a drink but will be going back for a meal, as the staff are lovely and welcoming, and the interior of pub is so comfortable and cosy.

Great food, great beer and brilliant staff. The steak on the lunch menu is so good! Proper old fashioned feel still retained inside too which is nice

Has really improved since I was last there a few years ago, the food is fab, staff are friendly, kind and helpful. Couldn't fault anything about this place, definitely worth going for a meal or even just a drink. Absolutely I'll be going again.

Good food, if relatively expensive. One cask beer available on my visit, but normally three. A genuinely old (1758) building, Grade II listed, which retains its historical feel. Windows that actually open a boon in hot weather! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. TV in back room .
