I love this venue. Good beer and great music and the staff a really friendly. I’d love music in your thing get down here.
I performed live at Bailiff Bar Holding Cell on the 4th of September 2025 (as "Mistrust"). It was my first ever solo/headline gig and I couldn't have had a better venue to play in. It's a really intimate, friendly venue. It's a great place to play in, and a great place to watch a gig. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's clean, seating is comfortable and the sound is great. Thanks to all the staff who organised everything and made it special night! It's worth noting that the venue is split into two parts. There's the Bailiff Bar, a public bar area with relaxed seating and a small raised stage in the corner. This usually hosts more intimate gigs, such as acoustic performers, and spoken word acts. There's also the Holding Cell, where I played. It has a proper stage, sound system, and lighting rig (see photos). There's also a projector and screen. Room Capacity is 40 (standing), 30 (theatre style seating) and 25 (cabaret style seating). It's ideal for small bands and solo/duo acts.

Live music, which has always been great. Good beer options behind the fairly long bar. Fast service, friendly crowd. Give it a go by walking in down the stairs opposite Indiependence.
Amazing place with by far the best drinks in Wigan.
Nice little bar with live music , right next to the bus station and down the road from the train station. 5* place and reasonable prices. Would recommend a pint here
