Big thanks to Lucy from the Kitchen team! She was super friendly and went out of her way to help us find items outside her department. She really made our visit yesterday easy and enjoyable.

Had to go to B&Q Beeston 4 times in one day (nearest to us)yesterday28.11.2025, I'm going to try to make this as short as possible because I am still shattered but thought it is important to highlight 2 amazing individuals. Reason for 3 stars is the appalling customer service we encountered on the first 3 times with the exception of MELANIE on the tills in customer collection, amazing service. The first times trying to get nails and couldn't get advice on the proper ones for skirting boards, we were told twice someone would be with us shortly, no one came. Then over to the laminates to ask about stock which wasn't on the shelves, told to wait someone would be with us, no one came. Went to select paint, and that was the absolute topping on the cake, when trying to choose a colour which had no identifying codes on it (no fault of ours) the short haired white haired woman, petite in statour, was very unpleasant. The saying that goes if your words don't say it, your facial expressions gives you away, well, her face was full of disdain and disgust. I told my friend don't bother any further but he wanted the paint because he had limited time to finish his project. Although she came around the counter, she was still unpleasant and eventually we just left without the paint. I returned later before closing because I needed the nails and a few bits more (spent too much money in one day there!), HOLLY was the first interaction we had asking for help and she was phenomenal! DYLAN was the 2nd and they both made up for the horrible customer service we encountered earlier (MELANIE the exception). Not all encounters with staff who we interacted were bad, its just the worst ones leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Christmas is almost here, it would be great to visit the store again and won't have the same experience!!

Came here with the kids on a Friday evening to get their paint mixed to paint their rooms. Kam was brilliant, he even let the kids go right up to the machines to watch it being mixed. When they didn’t have a colour we were looking for, he mentioned if they had it in another store he’d be able to collect it on his way in the next morning. The person who served us on the tills later (they had tattoos on their arms?) was also brilliant and super friendly. Thank you so much for making what should have been a boring trip a great experience!!

I would like to appreciate Gail for her great services. Much of accolades goes to her for the impeccable and spectacular service she provides with precision of professional, acumen and adeptness. She deserves more than she offers to the store.

Our recent visit to the Bathroom & Kitchen showroom was a thoroughly positive experience. we were warmly greeted by a friendly assistant who went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Her knowledge of the products was extensive, and she was more than happy to answer all of our questions. As luck would have it, our visit coincided with the reopening of the newly refurbished bathroom section. We were blown away by the impressive range of products on display. The selection was vast and varied, with something to suit every style and taste. What's more, the prices were incredibly competitive, exceeding our expectations by a long shot. The refurbished bathroom area itself was well laid out making it a pleasure to browse the various displays. The products were showcased in a way that allowed us to visualise how they would look in our own home, which was very helpful. We were particularly impressed by the variety of fitted furniture, options available. From modern and sleek designs to more traditional styles, there was something for everyone. The quality of the products for the price is great, with many well-known brands represented.

Always has a large selection of items and most are usually in stock. Knowledgeable staff always on hand, and the late opening hours are grea. Joining the B&Q club is well worth doing too as it's free, but you get money off vouchers, can do self scanning as you shop, tells you the Isle number your item is on, and your receipts get emailed out to you.

I used to be a regular customer of this branch of B&Q, that was when I lived in Leeds. But that was a few years ago and times change. Like other B&Q stores, this one had gaps on the shelves when I called in. Is this a national supply issue? It's still a nice store, bright, and well laid out. I just wish they had more stock!

The staff are what makes this place great so I wanted them to get some recognition. I needed some wood cutting and the man was so helpful and friendly. As a DIY novice I needed advice and the other two colleagues that helped me were also really friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. It’s really nice as a customer to receive friendly service, thank you.

Went in to collect an item that I'd ordered online. Spent 5 minutes stood waiting at the empty click and collect counter when someone turned up to serve me. I was told I needed to show some ID to collect my item when I offered a scanned copy of my driving licence. I was told this wasn't allowed, and I'd need to go home to get my photocard. The reason for this was "data protection" according to the staff member who served me... I placed the order, had already paid, and was collecting it for myself so I didn't see any reason to need to show ID. I came back 30 minutes later with the ID and somebody else was now serving customers. She took my order number and name, and then gave me the item without requesting the ID. I asked why I was told I needed ID and she explained this should only be for restricted items, or when collecting on behalf of someone else. She also said that a photo of my driving licence would have been enough if I'd needed ID, so it just felt like a complete waste of time. She did offer to find & speak to the person who originally served me as I shouldn't have had to go back to collect my ID.
