Typical weather spoons, good value. Very windy near the door. Food was tasty and the wine and beer good. The interior was very worn and our table was filthy and nobody cleared it even when they served food. At that point I actually asked them to wipe it and clear the previous persons glasses. To which they apologised. It was very quiet.

We stopped off for some breakfast, i had the eggs benedict the hubby a small breakfast- service was nice and quick, the guy who served me with our drinks was friendly. Our food was satisfactory.Toilets are on the ground floor which can be easy to locate sometimes in wetherspoons they can be quite far away or up a flight of stairs.

No problems to try before you buy. I sampled two real ales and settled for a guest one for the usual great value for money around £2.60. Small beer garden and Euros football on the TV.

First thing I noticed was the service was impeccable, the girls at the bar were just super friendly and very helpful, the guy who served our food was as well. I love the ambiance, it was very family friendly and even the people who had a few to drink were nice. Their prices are as always very competetive, loved it. But when it came to the food, it was just disappointing. The fish and chips were okay but the burger that I ordered was just dry and really plain. And the worst part is the ramen that my wife ordered, it was not a ramen at all. It was not japanese inspired but rather indian soup. The ingredients were just wrong. I spat it out when I tried to try some.

Ate here last Thursday with my partner and the service was first class. Every member of staff ( at least 5 ) I spoke to, was polite and professional. Unlike other Wetherspoons pubs, I found the tables were cleaned up straightaway once customers had left. Special mention to Jimmy who sorted out my curry for me and went above and beyond.

The food is usually served quickly, well presented and beautifully cooked and the service is great. Ordering can be slow as only only one or two people taking orders. The last time I was in there, the poor lad was on his own and having to wash the cups when for people who were ordering coffee or tea. Do they have staffing problems? Seems like.

It's rare that i write reviews but when people excel i feel they deserve praise. I've visited twice here recently and was happy with the atmosphere food and drink on both occasions On this occasion the manager spoke to me twice during my meal enquiring my satisfaction which was very nice and well presented. My comment to him during our conversation was that i didn't need to look for his manager's badge did I? He thanked me for the compliment which was well deserved, a real professional.

Based on food alone , it was just bang average . Chicken was dry , sauce in pot was slime-like but this is what you are paying for as prices are very cheap and had a whole meal for under £10 . The cleanliness of outdoor area was questionable . The waiting staff were very pleasant , professional yet humorous. I recommend to anyone wanting to go for a value for money quick eat and a drink !
