   Came here today for breakfast with Santa and honestly wish I never bothered For the amount of money you charge I expected someone too look like Santa and not like he’s sold a reindeer the night before for a score. The food was good but the wait time was horrendous, people had already been and gone before we even ate. A family of 6 came after we’d been waiting for well over an hour ended up sitting down and having there food within minutes. Clearly money over service is the issue here as nobody had any idea of a plan and was just so un organised, need too focus more on the customers an employing more people for it too be ran smoothly than focusing on your Christmas bonus, absolutely appalling. Will not be returning.

   Went to the Carr Mill today for lunch. Ordered on the app waited for drinks tbf girl who brought them apologised for our wait. Food came 5 mins later. I ordered fish & chips my partner had the Gammon Steak. I stared to eat the fish the end part seamed okay but the centre was still cold so I took the meal back to the bar and told them it was cold. I was offered to pick another meal so I went to look at the menu eventually someone came to see me but I no longer felt like eating as my partner had finished eating what she did of her meal so I just said I’d have a refund for my meal.Waiting for about ten minutes but my partner started to feel sick so we left. Poor experience at the Carr Mill sadly I couldn’t recommend the food to anyone. No refund received at the time of review. Don’t like to leave negative reviews but there was nothing positive I could comment about our visit. Kind regards Steven Moss

   We are locals and eat quite regularly at the Carr Mill. In our experience the food is always of a good standard especially when considering the price. The staff are always friendly, apart from one lady, who only serves behind the bar, and has been there for many years, she needs lessons in smiling! We had a meal there tonight, as usual the food was good and the waitress was smiley and friendly. The only downside was the pub was cold, most people were sat with their coats on. I go in to watch the game and have noticed recently it is cold and the heating doesn't seem to have been put on.

   11 family members ate there yesterday, in memory of my dad. Service and food outstanding. We all had different meals, xl mixed grill for me. Not a steak eater but was well done perfectly. All meals served at the same time. We keft nothing. Fair price forvit all with Blue Light Discount. Excellent and highly recomnended. We will visit again. Update: Another family meal yesterday 16 of us. Once again service was really quick and the food was excellent. Nothing wasted. Put all tables together to accommodate us all. Compliments again to the manager and staff.

   This place is not what It used to be! The menu has changed and the atmosphere was really quiet. I ordered a BBQ cheese burger and the burgers tasted really cheap and had a funny taste to them. Our meals came but then my parents meals only came out after we'd all finished ours, very lacking in service and the food quality was poor.

   Food took quite a while on our last visit, but this isn't the end of the world, as the food usually is spot on. I'd say they need to start putting more chips on the meals as I honestly do think the portions are small, especially for the price of some of the menu. All in all its a lovely place to enjoy food and a drink, with polite staff and a nice surrounding.

   Absolutely disgusting. By the time I got my food, the others had nearly eaten theirs and mine was cold and rubbery. My husband said his mash tasted like it had come out of a packet. Staff did come out, eventually, to explain why mine was late, the person who was doing the cooking wasn’t a chef because all they’d chefs had been given the night off and they had forgotten to put something on mine so they were waiting for it to cook. We did get free desserts. When I found out that they had turned the coffee machine off, before we had finished eating, I was less than impressed. Soon turned it back on after I spoke to the smirking bartender. We are less than impressed. My recommendation, find somewhere better to go

   Visited here with my partner for lunch on a Saturday. Inside was busy but we managed to get a parking space and was seated fairly quickly. We ordered via the app and food arrived within 20mins (drinks came sooner). We both ordered cheeseburger meals as we weren’t overly hungry. The portion sizes were laughable, even kids meals come with more fries! While my burger was ok, my partners was underdone and considering it’s a frozen patty, it tasted vile and raw. The onion rings were nice but after the portion sizes and the underdone burger, my partner was ready to go. It’s a shame as their quite friendly in there and there’s so much potential. I’d try them again but maybe order the sizzler hot plate as they seemed to be the most popular orders constantly leaving the kitchen.
