I've paid a lot more than I paid today, for soggy batter, and a handful of chips The staff are very pleasant and polite I would recommend Newtown Fish Bar . A well deserved 5 stars”

“My experience at Anatolia Grill was exceptional. Even with a last-minute booking due to issues at another restaurant, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The scent of BBQ and charcoal filled the air as we entered, which instantly got my taste buds excited. Sitting us down close to the window enhanced our experience. My wife enjoyed a refreshing glass of pink gin and lemonade while I indulged in a pint of the Efes. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, providing helpful recommendations from the menu. Before our main dishes arrived, the staff surprised us with freshly baked bread and dips, which was a delightful touch. The Chefs platter was suggested, and it was a delicious and plentiful mix of BBQ'd meat that left me feeling completely satisfied. Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable and friendly evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone searching for a tasty and welcoming dining experience. Thank you Anatolia Grill for the great night!”

“Nice neighborhood Pub with a large outdoor seating area. Really good beer selection including some cask ales to choose from. Outside was packed so found a nice seat inside by the bar and enjoyed the music at a Saturday night volume and a decent mix playing. Service was fast and friendly but as a note they do not accept cash only cards .”

“Biker Night of a Thursday. Plenty of secure parking. Very nice food. Reasonably priced drinks Excellent location, Peaceful setting next to the reservoir, Sunsets are fabulous in summer months Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating too. Friendly staff and atmosphere.”

“Really top quality restaurant. Food was absolutely amazing, would highly recommend, very well priced for what you get. 30 pound a head is well worth the money. This place is split into 2, one closed off restaurant area and another bar with live music, we really enjoyed it, we took two young boys with us who were well looked after. The bar area is more of a cocktail bar which again was well priced. Be weary of getting the cocktail pitchers though, seemed very lacking on the alcohol.”

“Usually come here for a snack in work on my break but couldn't resist the urge even on my day off last night so ordered a delivery for me & a friend. Sweet n sour pizza, absolutely spot on! “Incredible service, atmosphere and even better food. I was in yesterday lunchtime for some food and a coffee. The sirloin steak with a side of garlic new potatoes blew me away with how good it was. Cooked to perfection and full of flavour, easily the best sirloin steak I’ve had and portion was huge. I’m not local but I will certainly be travelling the 75 miles each way to come back here very soon.”

“We’ve just had an afternoon meal here, our first time eating here. A bit of a wait from ordering to food on the table (but it does state in busy times 45 mins is normal) but what we ordered was well worth the wait. Every meal was piping hot & freshly cooked. I had steak & ale pie with mash seasonal veg & a gravy boat it was delicious, the wife had a tower burger and it was a tower it was served with skin on fries. Our son had Fajitas with a side order of salt n pepper chips - I pinched a couple of the chips they were delicious. All portions were more than adequate and food hot which is a massive plus in my eyes. My wife & son had a sweet both said it was delicious a chocolate brownie, hot fudge with ice cream were their choices. The staff were very nice especially birthday girl who was a great hostess. A pleasant afternoon we will definitely visit again.”

“If you like a nice cosy country pub away from loud and rowdy crowds this is your place! The staff are amazing and helpful, very busy tending to tables and always smiling! The food was amazing and at a quality I would put at a level alongside several high end restaurants we have visited and at a very reasonable price. I had the spicy belly pork bites for a starter which I would recommend, for mains I had the cod and chips with mushy peas which was cooked perfectly. We eat out regularly when we are out and about and would safely say this is the best pub serving food we have visited within a 50 mile radius of Liverpool! 10/10........ only the 1 picture of food unfortunately as was too busy eating it!”

“Traveled with family for a short visit (4 days) to St Helens and the surrounding area. Had a wonderful stay. Was greeted by friendly staff (Paige and Jacob) who were very helpful and informative as I had a lot of questions. I unfortunately fell sick, however the staff at the inn were friendly and accommodating. Went the extra mile to help me into town to get to the pharmacy (thank you Jacob). We had a total of 5 meals here (as I couldn't be asked to take a trip out) and they were all delicious. We were lucky enough to be here during a menu change so we had a lot of variety. Would recommend.”

“I am 75,and last night I was going to the sefton pub then onto the Palace for an Indian meal,,my mate dave, allan and john,,was picking me up in the windle carpark,dave and Allan I have known since I was 15,john I have known for 3 years,,,,before he picked me up,,I knocked on the windle's pub door,manager came to the window I asked him could I leave my car on the carpark while I went for a meal with my friends,,he said no problem whatsoever,I thanked him top guy,,,meal was good too,,we all had a good time,,kevin kerr”

“I really enjoyed The George when I went in there. It's a very old styled pub, like going back in time, I don't think it has been renovated too much over the years. The drinks were quite cheap compared to others, there was a lot of St Helens memorabilia on the walls, the locals were quite friendly, there is a jukebox as well which plays nearly anything and the locals don't complain what style of music it is. I would recommend going here.”

“I have ordered from Sabroso many times over the years and the food just gets better & better. I usually have it delivered in St Helens but we had it delivered to Wigan tonight and the food was still excellent and piping hot! The chicken tinga burrito was large and worth the price, the salad on the tacos was very fresh and I liked how the chicken for the taco was in its own pot so less mess. I queried through the instagram page and the customer service was excellent, highly recommended!”

“This is our local restaurant and our favourite, we don’t go anywhere else, all the staff are great, they remember personal details and make you feel welcome all the time. Even when it’s busy you never feel rushed. Sometimes the kitchen can make mistakes with the food when it’s busy but it will be corrected quickly.”

“11 family members ate there yesterday, in memory of my dad. Service and food outstanding. We all had different meals, xl mixed grill for me. Not a steak eater but was well done perfectly. All meals served at the same time. We keft nothing. Fair price forvit all with Blue Light Discount. Excellent and highly recomnended. We will visit again. Update: Another family meal yesterday 16 of us. Once again service was really quick and the food was excellent. Nothing wasted. Put all tables together to accommodate us all. “Second time ordering from Genos and I have to say the food has been amazing. Chicken kebab and Donner kebab with chips. The chicken was juicy, tender and sooo tasty. Donner meat was thinly sliced just how we like it and the meal portions are very generous portion. The salad was very fresh and the bread wraps and chips were lovely. We honestly couldn't fault anything. 10/10”
