I spent half an hour in the shop trying to sort a problem out and ended up going back this afternoon and failing again. Then a fella (shoulda got his name, sorry!) very patiently sorted out a quite technical, and what seemed to me insurmountable, waste pipe problem. What a star! Thank you so much!
Joe Ragona, kitchen designer is a great representative for Wickes . He designed our kitchen for us and was truly fantastic. A calm manner, great ideas, chatty and personable he really put us at ease. Joe really looked after us from the first visit to the last. He really knows his stuff . I am blind and Joe took this into consideration during each step. Thanks Joe for being such a great bloke! Wickes, hold onto Joe with both hands. He truly is a great asset to you!
I had some Dulux emulsion paint mixed went home and the paint was thin like water consistency. I took it back and they refused to refund me it even though it was faulty Dulux paint is supposed to be thick and creamy not like water after much haggling the manager finally refunded me but situation that I had to go through was not acceptable I should have just been given a refund straight away without all the hassle I warn everyone never to get paint mixed here as they don't seem to have much knowledge about paint.
The lady serving me was really helpful and friendly. They didn't sell the part I was after but she knew exsactly where I should go to pick one up locally, calling over a colleague just to double check the street name. It's really nice to go to a place where staff know not just their stock but also what other places in the area do, I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend this store to other people.

Went in to get some insulation. Poor product knowledge. Previously bought some knauf 100mm base layer mineral wool at £19, realised it had gone up to £27, asked for price match with b and q to £22.50 as they have the same product made of exactly the same material, exactly the same dimensions to the millimetre, exactly the same manufacturer but the young lad on the till dark hair 18 to 20 ish floppy shortish hair rudely argued with me that it wasn't exactly the same when he was totally wrong rather than getting someone who had a clue what they were on about because the packaging looked different, he cost his company money because I went straight to b and q and bought it there and low and behold the packaging was the same as the one at wickes proving my point.
I think this is the store Wickes have forgotten about missrrble and cold store not stocked up like other stores and lady on the till was very roode will not be using this store agen thay need to get an area manager out to get it sorted
I went to the store in Huddersfield today and the member of staff Jay was outstanding ! I purchased several items which included some wooden beading 2 meters long my purchases came to £186. I was intending on travelling back on the 183 bus so got to the bus stop and was delighted to see the bus was due any minute and lo and behold there it was. I duly put out my hand to stop the bus but the driver did not stop and waved his finger to say I am not stopping ,somewhat baffled I could only surmise that he saw my purchases and didn't want to let me on the bus so I returned to the store to return some goods .Jay quickly found a solution and said they could be delivered . The process took some time as he had to then manually add all of the items for a delivery. He was cheerful throughout and it was sorted . Big Thanks Jay !!!
Lots of the products are not priced up, which is a pain. I always find this building cold. Managed to get the majority of the things we went for. The staff member we spoke to was polite and helpful.
