   Beautiful pub, fantastic for little kids there is an indoor play centre and a kids menu but sized for under 5s and over 5s - genius. Great value for money. Food was delightful and filling. Staff were amazing and very friendly

   I don’t normally post reviews, but after today I honestly feel people should be warned. We ordered the Sunday roast, and it was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. The meat was tough, the potatoes were cold, and the gravy was basically like water. The pickled cabbage was slimy almost like snot and completely inedible. To make things worse, we had to wait ages just to get basic condiments, long after the meal had already been served. The staff seemed inexperienced, the atmosphere was poor, and overall it was just a really disappointing experience. No wonder they’re sending out 40% off vouchers to everyone they must have to, just to get people through the door. Even with that discount, it’s definitely not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend The Bootle Arms to anyone and I certainly won’t be going back.

   Restaurant was empty but you couldn't choose where to sit tried to seat us in a conservatory with lots of families and children when we insisted we wantedto sit elsewhere we were told we could only have the table for an hour! The whole time we there no one else came to dine as the pictures clearly show 2 hours later. The food was cold and overpriced and no one asked us if we were happy with the service/meal just cleared the plates without interaction. Will not return which is a shame just some common courtesy and good customer service goes a long way in the hospitality business. Sadly the Bootle Arms is lacking in both of these traits

   Always have such a good experience every time I come here. Staff are always so lovely and helpful. Was served today by Chloe and Kane and they were amazing. Had the Sunday Roast and it was unreal, massive portion sizes you deffo get your moneys worth! The Bootle Arms has been my favourite pub since I moved to the area 3 years ago, took my Dad for the first time today and he fell in love with it too. Could not recommend enough!

   We had a delicious meal which was piping hot and plentiful. The serving staff was very polite lady who made sure everything was perfect for us, and the pub looked wonderfully clean inside. I would definitely come again and I've already told some friends and family about how good it was.

   Called in on the off chance. Changed since my last visit. Food was still of good quality. Enjoyed the meals and the ice cream desert. Great night. Although quite empty for a Saturday night. Don't know why. Will call again though as they are dog friendly and actually have a doggy menu. One to try!

   Lovely old pub with plenty of tables to choose from. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, good portions (none of those awful chips in a mini basket). I can recommend the steak and ale pie. They even had my fave wine. Waitress needed ID for my daughter as she ordered alcohol, but wasn't at all patronising. We were having a celebration meal and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening. We will definitely be back soon!

   Was told in arrival that there was an hour wait for food. 10/10 for honesty. Ordered drinks and the food came 45 mins later. Was absolutely worth the wait! Best mixed grill I've ever had from any pub! Two for one menu so payed under 30 pounds for two main meals and two drinks. Excellent service and hospitality. Would never go anywhere else for a mixed grill again!

   Picturesque externally but inside a rather ordinary pub, edible but rather boring standard grub and somewhat dark pub. Not awful but there are better options nearby. 2for1 deal on mains makes prices tolerable but not great. I really wouldn’t bother. Location is quite nice with pretty church across the road. Staff and service pleasant -toilets could be improved!
