   This place and it’s abrupt staff is a joke. Your a chain and I’m sure times are set out by the bosses of weathers not the staff. The signs that go up every night saying you won’t get in after a certain time (in itself is fine) but should be if your face fits, or the staff know you. You can then get in. 3 times now I have tried to go in and been turned away, not drunk, not a yob. But just because face doesn’t fit. Was turned away at 11.30 each time, even tho friends where in there. (I work evenings hence the time I went there) each time turned away, they then let a group of guys in after me, simply because they know them. Sort yourselves out!!! Your weatherspoons not the ivy. I will also be contacting head office to complain, as you are still serving in there till at least 12.30am sometimes later, obviously to the people who’s face fits.

   Food piping hot and tasty, good value for money, toilets were messy with lots of water on the floor, my table had my used plates on for quite a while after I finished eating and I had to clean my own table on arriving. About £15 for pizza, wings & halloumi fries with 2 pints of abbot ale, was 3 plates for £10 Monday) Would recommend and return.

   Bought a 11" margarita pizza and they brought out a thin pizza which is fine but hardly with any cheese so I politely went back and asked if I could please have some more cheese and the server took it went back into the kitchen and came out to say that's all you get...sounds like a line from Oliver Twist. Wouldn't even give me a bit more cheese. Proper stingy this spoons in Walton Vale.

   Great local and honest Wetherspoons pub. Much better than the city centre ones in Liverpool. The food is excellent and has been all week. Very reasonable in price. Lovely atmosphere inside... Proper traditional feel. Enjoyed our visits here, happy to return.

   It's not a typical historical building in comparison to other JDWs. The breakfast wasn't too bad and the staff were quite pleasant. I didn't see a beer garden. Unlimited hot drinks (one machine needed attention), traditional breakfast, and a craft beer for under a tenner

   Had the worst fish I've ever had in this Wetherspoons the fish was tiny dry and tough. I took a bite of it, then sent it back, only to be told by the chef that he couldn't swap it because I'd eaten a bit of it, so I said "what am I supposed to do with it it's inedible" and was told I could have a sweet instead. Upon which I asked to see the manager. The manager came to the table and eventually agreed to swap it. The picture is of what came back. This was bigger but still dry and tough with the worst batter I'd ever had. The chips were the only good thing on my plate. I have been in many Wetherspoons in the past and recommended them to friends. I will think twice in the future. If I could give this zero stars, I would. I would avoid this place.

   Popped in for a quick tea at 7pm Friday night. Ordered drinks and food via the app. Drinks arrived within minutes, quickly followed by the food. Service was excellent and it was really busy at the time.

   Although this pub is very busy, service is quick. Staff are lovely, friendly & helpful. We ordered via the app & drinks were delivered promptly. The food was also very nice & there was a great menu. We went twice during our stay. We would definitely go again.

   Very busy when I visited. Not a table or seat to be found which I guess is a good thing! It was a Saturday afternoon. A very good selection of the usual drinks on tap but also a very good range of local and guest ales on draught. Can't complain about the prices - 2 pints about £4.30 which is very cheap where I come from!! Good atmosphere and service. Friendly and efficient staff. Enjoyed our time here. Didn't eat but saw plenty of food being brought out from the kitchen. A few screens for sports and no music which can be seen as a positive for some.
