    The Brass Ballance is named after the avery scales manufacturer. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service was quick. I called in for the large breakfast it was perfectly cooked and arrived hot. The refillable hot drinks are great value and the fresh ground coffee is excellent. It is a good wetherspoons and i will call in again the next time i am in the area.

    Often pop in when in the area, it's only a short walk from Hamilton Square Station and also close by to my favourite music venue in Birkenhead Future Yard!

    Great choice of beers. Food was ok. Bit bland. Pub was nice n warm but needs decorating. Mismatch of furniture. Toilets were not very clean n this is not what I like to see Location is pretty central an bus station n mersey rail are both within walking distance

    Ordered a rare sirloin steak, got a well done piece of meat hard to describe but possibly beef. Chips overcooked. Service underwhelming. Would not recommend the place or go back myself if they can't get basic meals correct. Obviously only trained in heating things up and struggle when required to actually cook.

    Me and my friend had a lovely time at this pub, which has a classic setting and Christmas decorations were up too! The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed a drink of vodka, situated comfortable at a clean table.
