“We have been here so so many times and have never been dissapointed and tonight was no exception. Having not been for while (due to illness) the manager made such a fuss as he hadn't seen us for a while. The food is always the best standard I've tasted outside of turkey itself! The staff are magnificent, so welcoming and always have a conversation and chat. The girl who served us is a credit to the place too, she has amazing people and service skills. Thanks for making such a fuss of dad for his birthday you don't know much it meant for us to get him there tonight. You really did make his day.”
“Always good here if you're into the heavier music. Amazing charm and the alcohol isn't a bad price!”
“If you want a cozy, beautiful restaurant then this is it!! The menu caters for a many different tastes, the service is great and the quality of the entire experience is out of this world.... HIGHLY recommend!!”
“Lovely little place with good food. My fillet and chicken was cooked lovely and plenty of portion sizes too.”
“Old local friend! A perfect mixture of a Bar, a Restaurant, and a Coffee Shop - with a leafy terrace. Food is delicious, always cooked fresh, sourced locally whenever possible, by a proper Chef! Staff is trained, professionally trained is what I mean, with an ever present friendly touch. Menu is reasonably priced. I can’t comment on the wines myself, but I’m assured by my (well over 18!!) daughters that the cocktails are expertly made by the men / women behind the Bar… And the biscuits accompanying your coffee are home made….None of the cellophane wrapped skinny oval shaped “industrial skinny biscuits “!!! Busy at weekend, dogs are welcome, I recommend it to everyone! Never regretted any visit, quick coffee or proper food with friends…”
“Local gem. Great for the footy, lovely inside. Boss man is really sound. When they put food on its excellent. Decorations for Christmas are amazing. Great atmosphere. Easy parking. Decent prices. Best pub in town. Lucky to have it. Don’t go anywhere else.”
“Wow, what a place meet and eat, a wonderful experience, I can't recommend it enough. We'll worth a visit.”
“We ordered the Charcoal Special Kebab and it was superb. Kids loved it and the missus loved it as well. Top drawer, been a while since I've ordered but definitely going back. Cheesy garlic bread lovely as well.”
“What an amazing Roast Dinner, mixed meat, it was piping hot, and lots of Meat and Veg and Gateu for Dessert, well recommend, will order again. Thanks Tasty Grill Cafe”
“Excellent live venue, brilliant bar prices, extremely friendly, requires air freshener in the vicinity of the gents....”
“Another update with pictures of chicken wing appetizer and the chicken and beef Sunday dinner - as ever great food. An amazing selection of beers at a very reasonable price. Service is exemplary and nothing ever seems any trouble. Even a taster of a new beer is given with even asking about it, like they read your mind when not sure. Atmosphere is perfect for a snug brew house. And of course the food is great as well anything for a quick bite to Sunday lunch. Well worth a visit or two.”
“A friendly pub in the heart of the community. Staff are great and beer is reasonably priced. The pool table is the heart of this typical local.”

“Had a really good Christmas meal for a group of over 30 people. The staff are so friendly, especially Becky, food plentiful, tasty and piping hot. Such good value for money.”
“We hadn’t been to the Anchor for a while and decided to take advantage of a Premium Country Pub (app) “buy one main course, get one free” offer. The restaurant was busy (probably due to the offer) but relaxed, welcoming, warm and comfortable at the same time. We ordered king prawn, crab and chorizo pasta and a prime burger with a buttermilk chicken fillet added. (After pondering “beef or chicken burger?” for a while this was a great solution for only £3 extra.) The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Our complements to the management, the chef(s) and personally to Emily, Kerry and Cameroon for both going the extra mile while looking after us.”
“Nice place. Next to the small car park and shop. Many good offers on food and drink menu”
“we attended a meeting a the village and it was exceptional, from the service to the standard. Shelby was very informative and offered the best prices but also made our stay 10/10. Thank you for making us feel so welcome”

“We went today for a sunday roast. The food was beautiful, a good portion of lamb, potatoes and vegtables were perfectly cooked and the biggest yorkshire pudding which was lovely. Jessica served us, she was very attentive and was helpful as i have a medical condtion, so some foods i cannot eat. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and cosy. The price was very good value for money. I would highly recommend the montgomery, and we will visit again very soon. The staff are a credit to them.”
“Stopped by for a meal and a few drinks, and it was such a great experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything was really well priced — but what really stood out was the service. Levi was absolutely brilliant: friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel looked after from start to finish. You can tell he really cares about the customer experience. Will definitely be back!”
“Fab festive menu at the three stags. Table had been decorated with crackers & festive touches. Staff were so lovely & attentive, service prompt & efficient. Had the three course festive menu & every course was really tasty. Good value for money. Couldn’t fault anything at all. Definitely be back!”
“The food was great ..service was too. Sadly we called in on a Wednesday evening which coincided with Bert's Bingo which was good fun with people running all round the pub but it was too loud...too early and not good when people are still dining...but I will say if I wasn't dining I would have probably enjoyed it....maybe next time Bert's Bingo may be a drinks night and dining will be on another day as the food was lovely.”
“My husband and I visited today, we haven’t been here for years but we were instantly welcomed by the friendly ladies that work there. I had the hunters chicken which was delicious, compliments to the chef. Our food arrived very promptly, we will definitely be coming back again soon!”
