Young man who took my order was very good .Service by Natalie was excellent and clearly a popular member of staff as many locals said hello. Food was best I've had in any sizzling pubs on the wirral( I've been to all of them ). Well done !
Now they do breakfasts again this is were we go every Saturday morning. Breakfast is delicious and free coffee top ups. Great place
Stopped by for a meal and a few drinks, and it was such a great experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything was really well priced — but what really stood out was the service. Levi was absolutely brilliant: friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel looked after from start to finish. You can tell he really cares about the customer experience. Will definitely be back!
Enjoyed the visit, nice and comfortable pub- restaurant. The food was really good. Few staffing issues on visit, but I can accept they were very busy. One small point .. if your going to have a sign in place at the door "Please wait to be seated", may I suggest you actually find a member of the team to deal with customers at the entrance... It was like..."Please wait here"... What for Christmas? Your next birthday? Your state pension to start??? (I noticed I was not alone on this issue.)
Had a great meal again. Manager Dave and nat are lovely and very welcoming. This pub has only gone up under them and food is better than it ever been. Deb and Katie are great and had a good Thursday here for lunch again. Love this place and great prices for what you get. Thank you merebrook team.
Don’t expect to watch the rugby here! Despite advertising online and in the toilets that they would be showing the six nations games, they switched over for a football game nobody was watching. Despite having multiple screens and asking for the rugby to be shown on just one, the duty manager stated “f**k the rugby”. Don’t believe their advertising- I certainly won’t be in the future!
Didn't eat as just popped in for a drink. Great service and nice wine. Lovely atmosphere. Everyone was happy and friendly. Not one of those places you walk in and everyone turns and goes silent.
Fantastic evening for the kids Halloween party, they absolutely loved it. Cheers to Natalie and the team for making it so much fun for them :)
Very good food .they had run out of fish chips so we had gammon pineapple and chips .The gammon was a proper steak .Service was good a bit slow but the food was worth the wait. Well kept building with colourful hanging baskets. Handy for the Merseyside rail station .
