    Turned up at Halfords with a rapidly deflating tyre. Despite having no appointment, the guys couldn't have been more helpful. Tried to repair the tyre but due to the damage to the bead it couldn't be fixed but they swapped to get me away. Excellent customer service.

    It’s difficult to know where to begin with this review, but the short version is: I took my car to Halfords Runcorn for a routine replacement of front brake pads and discs, and ended up without my car for over three months due to their negligence. When I finally got it back, it had a dent on the rear passenger side—and Halfords is now refusing to pay for the damage. The long version involves: • A technician failing to put the car into service mode, which blew the ABS sensor and ultimately required a full ABS unit replacement. • Appalling customer service, including broken promises, ignored emails, and a complete lack of accountability from both the Centre Manager and the Regional Manager. • Delays and miscommunication, with Halfords ignoring Mazda’s diagnostics and attempting unsafe repairs to avoid paying the £7,000 replacement cost. • A complete disregard for my safety, as they tried to cut corners and delay resolution. • Failure to collect the car from Mazda, despite being informed I was away and had requested they handle the pickup. • Visible damage to the rear passenger side of the vehicle upon return, which they have refused to acknowledge or repair despite photographic evidence and multiple follow-ups. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I’ve never encountered such a disgraceful level of service, dishonesty, and lack of professionalism. I strongly advise anyone considering Halfords for vehicle servicing to think twice—especially if you value your time and safety

    Very expensive just for oil change and new oil filter. Wheel locking but wasn’t put back from where they found it. Phoned Halfords to ask them where they put my wheel nut, was put on hold for 25 minutes. When I drove back with my mobile still on hold, I asked why I was still on hold and not answered my call. No real reason they forgot just to answered my call which was still on hold. This is the second time I have used Halford and it will be my last time. The one star is an over rated score.

    Paid for a full service and dropped off at 8.30am as advised on the booking. Car was parked in the same place I left it all day and they called just before closing at 5 to tell me to pick it up. No way the service had actually been done, and they gave a list of advisories. Car had its MOT elsewhere and not surprisingly it didn’t need any of the things advised by Halfords. In summary I paid 225 for a full service that they didn’t even do, and they tried to con more money out of me for work that isn’t even needed. Raised a complaint, haven’t heard anything. Avoid at all costs, you will get ripped off!

    Great job, excellent staff, great communication and and advised me on how to keep my car safe this winter. Prices was reasonable I feel. There are a lot of cheaper places out there but at least I feel now that at Halfords Runcorn, my car was well taken care of to a very high standard. I think the guy who helped me, his name was Lamin, and he really deserves a pat on the pack for his excellent service.
