I purchased the Record Power Coronet Herald Lathe in 2022. It is a fabulous tool. Although not a heavy machine, it is rock solid with no vibration. The lathe is easy to operate and the variable speed motor is excellent. I have turned many items, both spindle and bowl and love it.

Great customer service. Pragmatic resolution to a faulty unit within the 12 mth warranty period and sent me a replacement cover for the switch panel which had to be removed as part of the repair. Great service, thank you!

I needed a new upper blade guy assembly for my bs400 as the side bearing had a fracture on the join and ended up snapping off. I rang up the helpline and with no questions asked they sent me out the replacment part within two days on the 5 year parts warranty. I think the guys name in the office was Steve and his customer service was top notch. I was asked wheather the macine was used for business but as im just a hobbyist I was able to claim. So overall first customer service experience with record power was top notch. Thanks again
Appalling service. Had a number of dust extractors. One short-circuited straight out of the box from new. Another overheated and melted the top. Another had a top come loose exposing the 240V wiring. One more had a cable come loose. When I notified them of these faults, they placed the blame back on me and did not want to take responsibility. The 5 year guarantee does NOT apply to commercial use of their products. I want to buy British, but please Record Power, get your customer service right and get your products right. Would never, ever use again. Ever.
