   Dropped in my Dewalt chainsaw for a broken bolt in the sprocket. Weeks went by whenever I called it was always “the new guy must have taken that message and done nothing with it”…. Anyway weeks later finally it was posted back to me. I was suspicious as the sprocket itself had not been changed as was still worn. So after about 10 cuts the bolt sheared again so repair was useless. I have now taken it apart and fixed myself putting new parts in and lock tight on the bolt and it works like a dream. My advice don’t use these guys and just fix it yourself as it does not save any time and they don’t do a good job anyway!

   Full marks for Martin from PTS repairs who helped me sort my broken Milwaukee mitre saw that had got me baffled. These guys also fixed my SDS demolition hammer when the variable trigger went on it last year and no bother since.

   Took my dewalt lazer in for calibration on the 22nd February, i was told it would take a couple of days and would be around £60/£70. Fair enough, or so i thought. Two weeks passes with no update or anything so i gave them a ring, fobbed me off with it needs to be sent away blah blah blah, this happens for a further 4 weeks after countless phone calls to them. Finally get a call saying “it needs recalibrating and will cost £70”! Yes thats what we said 6 weeks ago! “It will be back in two days and will phone you when its back” he said…… roll on two weeks later after still not getting any phone calls or updates i ring them up and its ready to collect. Collected it today so thats a full 63 days since i gave them my lazer!!!!! Asked the fella for a discount as they have well and truly took the biscuit and he gets all high and mighty saying he doesn’t make any money on tool repairs and refuses to give me any apology or discount! A different chap behind the tills (different department to the tool repairs) says that it is a bit out of order and knocks £10 off the bill off his own accord which was nice of him. Still feel mugged off and wont be using them again. Shame really only herd good things when they was in Lincoln before moving to Newark. Avoid like the plague, They just end up costing you money as your without tools for so long.
