   Short but interesting visit. I was mainly curious because of A C. Valhalla and the area’s history of Viking raids. Tamworth Castle offers a solid atmosphere and useful historical context, especially around the Anglo-Saxon and Viking period.

   Personally feel like the people of Tamworth are lucky to have a castle as open as this one right in the centre of town to go to whenever they want. So much history in one place. Loads of interactive fun both digitally and physically. Staff are really friendly with some in character. What I'm surprised about is you can just roam around by yourself around the whole castle. Definitely worth a visit - £11.95 for a ticket isn't bad since it's for the whole day.

   I genuinely can’t believe this place wasn’t busier. It’s seeped in history and a good day out whether you’re a couple or a family you will spend maybe 2 hours looking around the tea room they have is quite small and limited but still has a selection of refreshments and some little souvenirs to take away I brought a little knight keyring.

   Lots more to do in here than we expected, thought it'd only take an hour but the kids found lots to do. The staff were all really friendly and the kids loved all the characters hidden around the castle

   Visited yesterday it was so lovely. First time visiting Tamworth Castle and it has always looked great and solid from the outside, for just under £10 an adult (for a ticket you can keep using throughout the day) I thought this was a really great experience. There is a lot of interactive stuff which is great for kids and adults. It was just me and my partner and we had fun using the shields and playing the games etc. The staff were really nice, couldn't fault them at all. There is a little gift shop which is nice where you can buy bottled drinks as well. There are toilets as you walk through which were super clean! Had a great time, would definitely come again!

   Wonderful place to experience. The grounds, architecture, history, artifacts, the original rooms with furnishings and the view from atop the castle are astounding. You will truly see and feel how life was like through different time periods. The Castle has and holds many special and holiday events throughout the year which pre purchasing tickets is highly suggested. Very highly recommend!

   Living in Burton-upon-Trent and having been to Tamworth quite a bit, I've never visited the castle. Glad we did, it's absolutely lovely. Very well kept/maintained. Helpful and friendly staff. Interesting bits of information to read as you go through the castle. Well worth a visit.

   Wow Wow Wow. This castle is worth a separate visit. Ex capital of Mercia kingdom. Historic gem. Still magnificently monumental despite being surrounded by modern housing. Highly recommended for kids, a lot of attractions. Small shop inside and a large shopping mall just in front of it. Rare find, belongs to the local council.
