   I took my vehicle in for replacement of the front brake discs and pads, as advised following its MOT. I was subsequently informed that the rear discs and pads also required replacement. Although I was not shown the worn components at the time, I agreed to the additional work. Following the replacement of all discs and pads, I immediately noticed a metal-on-metal grinding noise coming from the front driver’s side, particularly when reversing. I returned the vehicle to you and was told that the backing plate had been slightly bent and had been straightened. While the noise briefly stopped, it returned almost immediately. Due to ongoing concerns, I then took the vehicle to another garage for an independent inspection. I was informed that: A bolt had been sheared and not replaced, and The brake backing plate had been secured using a cable tie, which was rubbing against the wheel rim and causing the grinding noise. Using a cable tie to secure a brake backing plate is not an acceptable or safe repair, particularly on a safety-critical braking component. This explains the noise I reported and raises serious concerns about the standard of workmanship carried out. I expect to receive a telephone call to discuss appropriate reimbursement for this work. Failing a satisfactory resolution, I will have no option but to take this matter further. Vehicle registration: DG67

   Fantastic garage - Mick and guys run a great service. I recently took my (banger) car in, it failed the MOT and I really appreciated the honest feedback on next steps - they did not charge for the MOT either. I always find them to honest, value for money, with a 'can-do' and problem-solving attitude.

   My daughter is at uni nearby and her tyre has a slow puncture, she went there and asked for advice as she wasn't sure if she needed the wheel nut to remove the tyres, they didn't even look at her car and said they can't help as they have no spare wheel nuts and had a very uncaring attitude. Not much help to a Younge girl living away from home

   Car was booked in following a collision, in which the tyre was punctured. Breakdown company replaced the tyre but advised to have the steering checked as the wheel had taken the full impact. Got a call from Mick to say the steering had been checked and everything was in order and as there was nothing to repair, there would be no charge. Very refreshing in this day and age. I would Fully recommend this garage to anyone that is looking for a reliable and trustworthy service.

   Absolutely superb. Booked an MOT/Service, via Book My Garage. Made them aware my car hadn’t been used for a while, due to my poor health. That the battery, although new in 2022, was as flat as a pancake. That my preferred mode of communication was email. Nothing phased Mick. Kindly agreed to a collect, and return, service. First morning, my car wouldn’t start, even with a battery pack Mick brought with him. Second morning he brought with him further gadgetry that got my car started. Excellent communication at all times. My car was returned, at the end of the working day. Detailed invoice. New MOT. Kindly words of advice. The sum total was not off the wall either. Sure I would’ve been charged more by a main dealership. Very happy, thus far. Very impressed. No hesitation in recommending, nor using again. Thank you.
