We booked the café for a birthday party, having previously met Jerome to discuss requirements and options. The team delivered! The atmosphere was lovely; the venue looked pretty with Christmas decorations and we were able to add our own touches too. The food was really good quality - lots of comments about that - and it went down well. Thanks team for making this a memorable event and a big shout out to Millie and Mya for tending the (very busy) bar. Would highly recommended the Tasty Bean as a venue for a private function.

The park itself is totally amazing. The biggest let down is the cafe. As others here have commented previously, staff are totally disengaged with zero welcoming warm towards customers. I guess management have no need to improve service and opening times as they have little or no competition! Staff seem to not want to be there, which the owner should be observing. No training will change this, unless there is a total overall, or Watford council hand the license over to the likes of Starbucks, which would be a shame, but at least then the level of service and engagement would improve. Owner please take note as this seems to be common feedback.

My son and his friends had an amazing time celebrating his birthday at the café! They loved the great food, unlimited squash, and getting to choose their own ice lollies. The party was held right inside the skatepark, which meant endless fun for the kids, while parents could relax and have a chat over nicely chilled drinks. A huge thank you to Ryan and the entire team — they were incredibly friendly, organised, and attentive throughout. From the moment we arrived to the very end, everything was taken care of with a smile. The staff made sure the kids felt welcome and excited, and nothing was too much trouble. It was a stress-free experience for us and such a fun-filled day for the children. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a brilliant kids' party venue with top-notch service!

The park itself is fantastic—truly a wonderful place that we visit regularly. However, the café experience can be improved. On weekends, the café primarily serves families with children, and while the convenience is appreciated, the wait times for food can be surprisingly long. During our last visit, we waited 30 minutes for a banana waffle, despite being second in line right after the café opened. Unfortunately, the food is quite average, making the long wait even more frustrating. As for the coffee, it’s not the best. If you’re particular about your coffee, bringing your own might be a good idea. The staff isn't necessarily unfriendly, but they do seem quite disengaged. A bit more warmth and attentiveness would definitely enhance the experience. Overall, the café benefits from being the only option around, but with some improvements in service efficiency, food quality, and customer engagement, it could be a much better addition to an otherwise amazing park

Used the cafe as a pit stop whilst waiting with friends for a bike to be serviced. Had a couple of hot drinks and some food. The food seemed a little expensive, but when the burgers came out realised that it was not expensive for the portion size, the chicken and cheese/bacon burgers were an excellent portion size for the price, both well cooked with fries and coleslaw. Menu had a good choice for what appeared to be a small cafe in a nice location. Hot drinks were a nice selection too not just barista coffees, but of flavoured hot chocolates and alcoholic and non winter warmers too. The sour cherry & plum warmer was really nice and hit the spot after a cold journey down that way. They also had a dog menu and it was nice to see people were able to bring their dogs in to order and there was a drinking tap and water bowl outside. Nice to support a local business rather than visiting a brand

We came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. My daughter had a burger with fried onions and bacon; we were amazed when the meal came out. It was presented well and she enjoyed it enormously. I had a latte, and easily will say the best coffee in town. The coffee didn’t taste burnt and we had a really good time and will definitely go back again.

Came here this morning for brunch with a friend. I ordered avocado toast with poached eggs. I thought the egg had a smell. When my friend took it back, without question Jerome said he would get a replacement and it came promptly and it was delicious. He gave me tea “on the house” I don’t like taking food back but to be respected like this was wonderful. The avocado was plentiful. The atmosphere was friendly, lots of kids and dogs and people chatting. Staff friendly and so helpful. It’s now my go to cafe when I’m in Watford. Thank you so much to Jerome and team for making us feel welcome and spoiling us!

Best cafe in a park I know! Coffee is excellent, as is the Korean Beef Bowl. 2 for 1 meal offer makes it a great choice for a lunch.
