What’s happened to this place? Not sure what they achieved with the toilet ‘Reno’ they’re worse than ever. Completely stripped all character and looks like it’s rubbing off on the staff too. The pass agg messages everywhere don’t help to the atmosphere either. Can you go back in time please!

I cannot recommend this cafe enough! Such friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and lovely coffee and food. I can see that the new management has made great improvements (lovely new toilets, and an exciting new menu!) and there are more changes to come I am told. I will definitely be popping in more often and see the changes as they happen :)

I’ve been coming to this cafe for years, however, since the change of management a noticeable difference has occurred. The menu has been overhauled, losing some old favourites, the cheap laminated plastic menu seems out of keeping with the cafe. The interior decorations and local art have been removed, making the inside look bland and industrial. The front has packets of crisps rather than the lovely array of home backed cakes, and although the staff are as lovely as ever, the service just isn’t the same. I had a jacket potato for lunch which was brought to the table, but minus cutlery, and a cup of tea but no spoon. It seems much louder and hectic than it used to be, and it’s just missing the charm and lovely cozy atmosphere it used to have and the personal service, making it more like a builders cafe than the cute park cafe it used to be.

This well loved Café has a new operator and refreshed menu. We really enjoyed our visit the Chili was excellent, soup very nice with granary bread, the special hot dog was smaller than I expected but very tasty with the onions, mustard and ketchup. All staff cared and went beyond to help and advise. Well done everyone at the Pavilion!

It’s a okay coffee above average. Food is definitely overpriced and not the best quality. But the lady (blond skinny) is super rude on the till. There is board by the till with prices(ordered iced americano) I said oh says there americano is 3.50 she said no it’s 4. To what she rudely carried on saying does it say iced americano I said no saying just americano, well iced one is £4.(doesn’t say anywhere on board regarding iced not iced just one price for americano) Tbf this is not the first time she has spoken rudely. Not to me but my friends has experienced it too. Next time will take my own coffee . Haha

Such a shame, could be such a good place, the lady at the till can be very moody coffee and hot chocolate is always barely tepid if you say anything she says to ask the girls The girls are run off their feet on a Sunday the drinks take 45 minutes to come

Well below average food (and basic) and coffee. Really needs refurbishment inside and better kitchen and food. Lovely seating area outside and beautiful park with good children playground. Hope to see this improves over time.

Lovely place. Nice to just sit outside enjoying a cup of tea and a teacake. Kids play area just opposite so you can keep an eye on your sprats while they play or go inside if you don't have any sprats or don't want the noise. The staff were very happy and smiley and willing to help and offer suggestions if you weren't sure what you wanted. The amenities in the cafe were very clean. Double thumbs up.
