I really wanted to like this café, especially as it’s my local, but a few things keep letting it down. The music is often so loud that it’s hard to place or hear orders properly. It makes the whole experience more stressful than it should be. The team tends to focus more on chatting with their friends than on the people actually queuing and waiting for coffee. It can feel intimidating and a bit like you’re interrupting their hangout rather than being welcomed as a customer. The coffee quality is very inconsistent: sometimes it’s burnt, sometimes too milky, sometimes scalding hot. It really depends on who’s behind the machine. The only consistently good coffees I’ve had were from the barista who works early mornings and wears a cap – they clearly know what they’re doing. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 20 years in different countries, so I know how important it is to balance friendliness with professionalism. This place seems to mix business and friendship in a way that doesn’t always deliver good service or a welcoming atmosphere.

My partner and I come here three or four times a week for a coffee, a pastry, and a bit of admin on our laptops. On our last visit, while I was still eating my pastry, we were told we couldn’t have a laptop out because the tables were for people “eating and ordering” even though we had just ordered and were eating. What made it worse was that the café wasn’t full at all, there was plenty of free space and no queue. If they were busy, I could understand giving up the table after a while, but that wasn’t the case. It ended up feeling like we were being pushed out despite being regular paying customers. Really disappointing.

I’ve been visiting this lovely café in Putney quite often lately, and it’s become one of my go-to spots in the area. The atmosphere is calm and inviting never too noisy, just the right place to relax, read, or catch up with friends. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and there’s a genuine warmth in the service that makes you feel welcome every time you walk in. The coffee is consistently good, smooth and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality; every cup feels freshly made. But what truly stands out here is their banana bread it’s freshly baked every morning, perfectly moist, and has that subtle hint of cinnamon that makes it irresistible. It’s simple but absolutely delicious, and no surprise that it sells out quickly during the day. Beyond coffee and pastries, the food menu is also impressive. They have tasty brunch options and light meals that are fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. Everything feels made with care rather than rushed or pre-made. Overall, this place has a really nice vibe great coffee, fresh food, and genuinely kind people. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around Putney!

This used to be a lovely coffee shop. Now under new management. When I asked them for breakfast they looked at me like I was quite mad. They said they now only had sandwiches. And pretty rubbish coffee. And a disgustingly dirty washroom. Avoid !!!!

Have passed by a number of times and noticed it was often frequented by cyclists. I decided to stop and try it out today and glad I did as the coffee is excellent.

Great food and coffee if you don’t mind the occasional weekend cyclist crunch. Turkish eggs with chorizo are a must-have.

This is a good coffee shop and arguably my favourite in this part of town = no doubt it. But as per my recent visit, I'm not sure if the member of staff who served me didn't like me or it was closing time or was just outright rude but this isn't the normal service I have received. Shame really as I as out to impress. Excellent americano with oat milk, by the way. Even snubbed the place across the road which serves Monmouth coffee - FYI, wink wink.
