I decided to visit this cafe for lunch. There were only three or four other customers, which made me a bit skeptical, but I decided to give it a try anyway. While waiting to order, I noticed the owner arguing with a customer about buying some buns that his mother had apparently recommended, which was uncomfortable to witness as the customer was clearly uninterested. I ordered a jacket potato, but it was dry, substandard, and simply not palatable. I chose to sit outside, and my young daughter joined me with some food she had purchased elsewhere. There was no sign stating that outside food was not allowed, and since we were seated outside—not inside the restaurant—we genuinely thought it would be okay. While I understand that maybe we should have checked, the owner then approached our table, pointed his finger at my daughter, and told her that while he’d allow it “this time,” she shouldn’t do it again. He was extremely rude and intimidating, and we were both shocked by his behavior. When I confronted him about his disrespectful attitude, he went as far as to blame me, saying I hadn’t raised my daughter properly. I was appalled and deeply offended. No business owner has the right to speak to a customer in such a manner. I am completely disappointed and will never return to this place. Given the state of the cafe, I wouldn’t be surprised if it closes soon. Please, do not visit this cafe. Reading the other reviews here, I see that my experience isn’t unique.

I've walked past this cafe so many times but never approached it until the other day, and I should of trusted my previous trepidation! As soon as I got to the counter I was hustled towards and shown 6 chalk boards with variety of foods. I asked for a cappuccino but was offered 5 other types. I then ordered a muffin with egg avocado and charged extra for bacon. Total bill was £9.69 whom the lady who took my money shouldn't be working around people in my opinion her attitude is catching and changed my happy mood very quickly my muffin arrived and I was so horribly saddened cold egg burnt muffin a sliver of avocado and I trim of bacon! Never have I paid f0r such tasteless food and awlful service I won't ever be going there again Appalling

Haven't been for a long time. I used to go here a lot. The place has gone down hill so much, I won't be going back! They're pushing you to buy anything & everything. We had a latte that was half a cup of froth & had to ask for it to be remade (someone else also complained about theirs, too). We had ordered a panini, which they recommended having bacon in, so we did. When this came, there was not even a rasher of bacon in there & the whole piece was fat!! I went over to show the man & I said it's not good what he's served. The man said he would change it but at the same time gestured for me to calm down. When he bought the food back, he said, "Is that better?" I told him I shouldn't have to point it out. They know what they're doing they can see it's all fat. They're hoping people don't check their food!! We had 2 panini's (which come with nothing else, they used to come with a bit of salad & a few crisps), a latte & a tea, it cost £25!!! The food came out on paper plates, the drinks came in paper cups & the service was awful!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

To all leaving negative reviews. It's true that the owners are rude, more so the woman, but this is because her husband is a notorious ladies man and has slept with probably half the women in Croydon including his own female staff!! He literally cannot keep it in his trousers LOL I feel almost sorry for her. To top it off they are fake Italians and actually come from Romania!

First time I have been here in a long time. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and garlic chip and fresh lemonade and almond croissant. The food was good really enjoyed it. Was happy to pay the £16 for the meal but one or two things annoyed my. One I received my food on polystyrene plates and plastic knives and forks. Two tables did not seem to be cleaned or wiped as they were sticky and buy looks of it most of them was the same. If I going to pay money like this I want proper plates and cutlery and my table cleaned. I may as well gone fast food place.

Food is pretty good - not greasy at all. One member of staff was very ‘hard sell’ which was a bit much. Could do with just letting your clients decide what damn juice they want before trying to pour down their throats. But otherwise, a very decent breakfast.
