Lovely spot for a cuppa and snack. Possibly the best chai I've ever had, although it was a bit on the small side. I could see some vegan pastry options which I'll be back for

Love this place. The coffee is good and strong and first rate. The brunch/ lunchtime omelette is just perfection. Also tried the corn fritters with avocado and poached egg. Delicious. You can tell they care about their food and the cooking and the staff are so sweet. Makes such a difference.

Nice interior without extravaganza. They use Monmouth Espresso beans. I appreciate the attention to detail Monmouth has in sourcing, preparing and roasting their beans. Basic cup flat white is 6oz and price for that £3.20 but I would suggest take 8oz and pay a bit more. The barista is a skilled craftman and he used professional equipment to create the art even in such a small cup. On a scale 1 to 10 I'd give it 8.5 points. Well done.

Love this cafe. It is my favourite. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. They have a lot of space for a small place. Their pastries are amazing- my favourite are the croissants but I try to avoid gluten. The breakfasts are great too. My favourite are the corn cakes with the poached egg and chilli jam! They have a lot of vegetarian options which is great! Also gluten free options too. Coffee is great! Highly recommend

Great food and coffee at this classic on Highbury roundabout. Sitting in the glass-covered patio for brunch is really nice! They are fast, efficient and nice even when it gets very busy on the weekend. Have now been quite a few times and will continue to go for brunch, coffee or to buy delicious pastries to takeaway. Highly recommend!

I’ve been living in the area for 3 years and I regret I didn’t discover Vertige earlier! Had a Vertige Omelette as brunch and I absolutely loved it. The portion is perfect - enough to fill you up but not making you feel heavy afterwards, and it is not too greasy. The small terrace in the back is so airy and bright and I’m happy it’s not too crowded even it seems to be quite a popular cafe. I’ll definitely return and try more dishes!

French café just across from Highbury & Islington Tube and Overground station. Fabulous pancakes with caramelised banana, yoghurt, syrup and raspberry sauce. Orange and polenta cake was also excellent with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The drinks are modest-sized but, like everything else, extremely well done. Stepped in because it was opened before 9am on a Sunday morning. What a lovely surprise.

Very nice café. We were there for lunch on a Saturday. Very good menu. We had felafel (delicious with hummus and pomegranate) Shakshouka very tasty and their take on Benedict (very generous portion). Lovely coffee too! Service was also very courteous and nice which is always a plus when they’re so busy!
