   After a long time, I came back to this place with fond memories of the friendly service they used to offer. This time, it took nearly 15 minutes just to place an order for two coffees. When I asked about former staff members, one of the current employees responded rudely: “He doesn’t work here anymore, he left a long time ago,” and then completely ignored me, as if there was nothing more to say. Kindness should be an essential part of customer service. It’s a shame I came back — I would’ve rather kept the good memory I had from before.

   Ewelina and her staff are amazing. Friendly, professional and the coffee is always made to a high standard. Although I don’t live in Datchet, I will happily drive there most days as they treat their customers with genuine warmth. What puzzles me though is why the outside area at the rear is not used hardly. A lot of passersby and cyclists often stop but go away as it’s either too busy or there is a lack of sitting. There is quite a bit of room and if new and updated furniture were invested I can see a lot of customers using this area and it would attract new customers especially with bicycles.

   Thanks to the two people who served me on Saturday afternoon, for making my visit entirely personal. Didn't feel like a chain of coffee shops but more like a boutique coffee shop, thanks to their great customer service.

   After feeding the local breed of ducks and swans just a few steps away, one can come here rest his/her/neutral legs and sip on a well prepared hot chocolate. Staff are warm and welcoming and prepared the goods in a jiffy. Store is clean and well maintained. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sandwiches and all the usual Costa stuff can be bought here. They also serve the seasonal flavoured drinks on Christmas. Parking is on the street outside in the marked bays or you have to find them in the local streets nearby.

   Not all Costa’s are the same and this one is the best. They simply make brilliant coffee. Oscar has genius in those creative fingers and makes me a different animal In my flat white every day. Justyna and Oscar deliver friendly efficient service with a smile every time. Try for yourself. So much more than coffee.

   This is a very good looking branch of Costa. It has loads of sitting areas, both inside and out. The coffee is just okay, nothing special. The selection of pastries and cakes and savoury items are pretty good. The staff were friendly. This is a lovely place to hang out. Recommended.
