   Appalling (non existent) customer service and unremarkable coffee. Really does feel like it’s owned by a chain - don’t forget this - the place isn’t independent. Won’t be back. Suggested alternatives: Wylie’s (independent) and Gail’s (much better chain)

   I get matcha from here frequently but my matcha recently has had very obvious lumps of the powder that they clearly haven’t stirred I thought this might just be a one time thing but have gotten it a further 3 more times and have had the same issue which is disappointing as it is usually very nice. It makes the matcha unbearable to drink the photo here is only a fraction of the lumps as I have to poor it into any other cup to try get rid of the lumps.

   I have been a regular customer at the Harris + Hoole branch in St Margaret’s for almost two years now, and I can honestly say it is outstanding in every way. The place is always spotless and well-kept, which makes the environment really pleasant. The staff are incredibly polite, genuinely friendly, and noticeably professional in how they handle everything. What I especially appreciate is their balance of warmth and efficiency — they create such a welcoming atmosphere, yet at the same time they are so focused and quick that the queue always moves faster than you’d expect. Every single team member in this branch, both the guys and the girls, are absolutely brilliant. The managers are truly fortunate to have such exceptional staff, and it clearly shows in the quality of service delivered here. Harris + Hoole St Margaret’s is simply excellent.”**

   I was looking forward to a relaxing few moments with a cappuccino and a croissant,.. the later was flat as a pancake, and not properly baked; obviously a left over from the day before, piled in the fridge with other stuff sitting on top of it. The cappuccino was done just short of ten minutes later, and when I went to collect it, asking whether it was mine, I was met with an abrupt “Yep!” There were barely few people sitting and even less waiting,, so I’ve little understanding for the wait. To top it off, the continuous clattering of utensils and saucers didn’t allow for the relaxing moments I was looking to enjoy. I shall not be returning to this establishment any time soon.
