I liked it here. I had a great latte here and an ok croissant. The atmosphere is great. Very relaxing. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were friendly and the service was good. They made Eggs at one point that flooded the place with smoke. Though the windows and the door were open, it still got very smokey. They may need to get more ventilation to prevent that. But overall a nice visit.

Lovely spot by the busy street. Gives the area a good feel. Great coffee and pastries. Liked the design.

We ordered a flat white, orange+apple+carrot+ginger fruit juice, an egg + tomato bagel, small cookie and salmon on toast. The food overall was great but the cookie was hard and not freshly baked. This was remedied by dipping it into the flat white. Which was enjoyable but the bean blend was slightly sharp for my taste. The bagel was delightful, no adverse comments there. The salmon on toast was very fresh and delicious with hints of pickled onion and an extra side of smashed avocado complimented it well. This dish did have some draw backs though, the item was described as coming with scrabbled eggs which it did not, and we had to order the avocado at an extra cost. Double check before you order for the latest menu as I’m sure this item was out of date. My girlfriend was really impressed with the presentation and speed of service. Overall a great experience and I would recommend it as the best brunch spot in a 15 minute walk.

I live locally but have never visited Mughead coffee before. After a trip to the vets, I popped in to get a drink for both myself and my Dad on our way back home. The café itself is quite small, and somewhat minimalist. All the tables were busy, but it wasn’t a problem as we had our dog and were planning to sit outside anyway. The staff were lovely, and very friendly. I opted for a coconut milk matcha, and ordered a filter coffee for my Dad. The staff were really honest and told me the filter coffee wasn’t quite hot enough - and I really appreciated not being palmed off with lukewarm coffee. I ordered a large americano for him instead. My Dad really enjoyed his coffee, and my matcha was lovely too - although I would have preferred it to be a little bit hotter. It hasn’t put me off making a repeat visit though.

I’ve lived in the area since 2019, and for some reason am only just discovering the place. The coffee here is amazing

Extremely rude man with a mullet with no manners serving me and my partner today. Coffee shop looks hipster enough to serve proper coffee but it fails to deliver on quality above a Nero Cafe. No proper heaters for the croissants so they will sandwich press them. Eating in and they will provide takeaway cups, not very environmentally friendly at all. To the owner. The man, serving us was on the 1st of Nov 2022 at 930am so you know who it is.

super cute coffee shop!! their cinnamon rolls are downright addictive and often warm, the music is very cozy and the staff are always so nice and friendly. only thing i wish was different - the chairs/benches are a bit hard to sit on for a while. i’m definitely becoming a regular regardless❤️

An amazing coffee experience in New Cross. Fabulous coffee. And as fabulous was the brownie. The team members themselves were warm and friendly. The space is very minimal and yet very comfortable. Loved the little design elements. It is truly comfort space. Loved it. Would love to come back.
