   From the meals I’ve tried here, they have been nice enough and tasty. The Problem with this cafe is, when the weather is overly hot, the heat is unbearable inside and it’s overbearing. I asked a lady that was clearing tables if we could order food and sit outside to eat as it was so hot? Sadly she ignored me and just looked right through me. No idea if she was having a bad day or if this attitude is normal for her. My son said can we go? As he couldn’t stand the heat, he also saw people smoking outside and didn’t want to eat around the Smokers. Overall if the weather isn’t very hot the Cafe and the food is nice. Most of the staff are friendly. Enjoyed the meals I’ve had over the years. Sadly the premises is just to hot, on nice Sunny days. Edit: Tried a meal here today, I had a Jacket Spud with Tuna/Mayonnaise and some Baked beans and Salad on the side. The meal tasted lovely and I did enjoy it, however! Sadly my Jacket Spud had hard sections in it. No idea if it’s always the case but obviously I didn’t eat the hard sections in the Potato…

   Regularly go to the Cafe down the alley, fresh food, always hot and very tasty. Staff are very friendly and polite, It may not be the Ritz but always guaranteed to get great food at reasonable prices. Cash only transactions. Old School and love it.

   I have been dragged in here for years and never liked it alot then to give it a 4-5 review but after today it will be the last time I enter these walls. The food was cold where it had been sitting on the side and became unedible. The chiptasted like they had been waiting for a customer for some time. The food would have hotter if the girl who eventually brought it to our table had not been on her phone. The chef had cooked it a few minutes before but had it in his hand and was talking to 2 others behind the counter and the breakfast was right under their noses. Not sure if its changed hands but won't be going back. The staff of chef didn't really care.

   So me and my partner enjoy the alleyway cafe however they wrongly charged me and when I tried to tell them that they have wrongly charged me (as the menu says the pricing) they shrug it off and dont give me the correct amount. The woman I spoke about then checked the menu and did nothing. I found my experience very poor, I watched them heat my mash up in a plastic jug and I am not a happy customer. The woman then tried to make it up to us by giving us extra napkins. On the menu it shows a bottle of ribena but when we asked for it they pulled out a carton of ribena that we could have got from the corner shop for 55p not the £1 they charge for it. Edit 1: they gave us cutlery that smelt like rotten egg. Edit 2: We ordered a steak pie however it clearly wasnt steak, most definitely lamb WITH a massive artery sticking out of the side. Edit 3: As we left we went to speak to the manager who openly said they do not make the pies and said “yeah steak and kidney” however the menu does not say steak and kidney.
