   Not great sadly. Service staff were great, lovely warm cosy pub but the food left a lot to be desired - my wife ordered the fish pie, that was “basically inedible” I had the salad which was mediocre at best. I wouldn’t be rushing back to say the least - it was 1pm on a Saturday and we were 1 of two tables in the entire venue which probably indicates that we weren’t the first to reach this epiphany. The staff and atmosphere thankfully made up for the food.

   Thank you so much to Sam and the team for looking after our guests at my mum's wake. Attentive service without being intrusive and a plentiful buffet that was enjoyed by all. The pub's atmosphere provided a warm environment which helped our family and friends relax. For any family gatherings, I would highly recommend this venue. Thank you once again

   Another pub. Another mid tier Sunday dinner. Had the roast chicken which was soft and tasty. Great Yorkshire pubs but the veg lacked a bit compared to the best places. Big negative was the lack of veg/vegan options for the gf. Once again these places serve up half arsed options and expect full price. My second hand disappointment level was very high on this one with no roast options. A mushroom wellington was about as close as it got!? Where is the protein/calories/goodness!? She ended up having a dead risotto for £17! Anyway, lovely spot to sit outside on. The front garden is cracking even if it’s right by the main road. Staff were lovely and friendly though and drag this rating up a bit.

   Really like this place. It has a spacious interior which is nicely furnished and feels very hospitable and relaxing everywhere: unlike some pubs whose extended restaurant area can feel a little less characterful than the main pub. Food was great, massive portions of nicely done Sunday lunch, lovely vegetables, and a really super crumble dessert. A nice friendly team buzzing about.. I have been before and we will for sure be back.

   Amazing place. Great vibes and very "upper class but still a pub vibe". Very nice staff and delicious food. It's tucked away from most places and we went during the dark so didn't get to see much of the outside. It did have an amazing seating area out the front we didn't get to try because in typical british fashion it was torrential rain, however it looked lovely! Would recommend for those looking for a nice pub tucked away.
