After reading good reviews. Recommend friends to go there for Sunday lunch They said the staff lovely. Main meal was very disappointing. (Seemed pre cooked) Puddings and coffee were amazing.

The Boot is a local favourite but I only go once a year, where I organise my football teams annual Xmas party. I'm going to start the review with the service... It is purely faultless. The staff are all incredible and a real asset to the establishment. Our group is 40+ strong with about a 20 adult & children split. We have the marquee hired and tables are setup for adults on one side and the kids on the other. The food is all pre-ordered and I communicate the entire order including timings with the owner, Zoe. Who I must add is amazing. She's always willing to help, make adjustments and tailor the menu to suit our needs. With a group of our size, the staff are always fully prepared with print outs of orders, family names and tabs for each family to ensure bills are done per family spenditure. The food... It's always great. They manage to get all the food out quickly, hot and it always tastes great. For a group of our size, the kitchen have really nailed the task of getting the orders out on time and still piping hot. This was our 5th year at hosting our Xmas meal at The Boot and it's been another great experience with everyone leaving happy and satisfied. On the day, we had to make changes to orders and even cancel some due to illness. All of this was managed by the staff incredibly with no issues at all. Another great example of excellent customer service and the fantastic staff. Overall, another lovely experience where everyone had a great time and we'll be arranging our next party soon.

We organised a Christmas lunch at The Boot for a group of colleagues and our families, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, the planning and communication were excellent. The team were incredibly helpful, flexible and professional, which made organising a large group event feel effortless. On the day itself, everything was perfectly coordinated β from the welcome drinks and food service to the smooth running of the schedule. The food was delicious and well presented, and the marquee provided a lovely, comfortable space for both adults and children to enjoy the afternoon. The staff were attentive, friendly and always happy to help. A huge thank you to Zoe for her outstanding coordination and to Emily and Sophie for their fantastic service on the day. We left with nothing but positive feedback from everyone in the group. Highly recommended for group events β we will certainly be returning in the future.

I recently visited this restaurant with my kids, and we had a wonderful experience! There were about 23 of us in our group, and despite the size, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was fantasticβdelicious, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. There was a great variety on the menu, catering to all tastes, and everyone in our group found something they loved. The atmosphere was also a highlight. The large outdoor kids' play area kept the little ones entertained, which made our dining experience much more relaxed. Plus, the Christmas market at the front added a festive touch, creating a charming vibe. All in all, it was a fantastic visitβhighly recommend for families or anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming environment!

An enjoyable meal. I had the crispy shredded beef for starters and jerk chicken for the mains (which was a special). The portion size for the jerk chicken was quite large. Reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly. I'd certainly recommend The Boot and will definitely return.

Great staff. Good food. The table layout is a bit crowded. This place is unnecessarily over priced.

Delicious dirty burger has it all...loaded with bacon, Stilton, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, gherkin, onion rings, hunk of juicy meat, freshly made slaw and fat chips. Great service and beers! This place was a wonderful find, to sit in the autumnal sun.

Used as a stop for a circular walk. The staff were super lovely and chatty, welcoming me, 2 kids and a hot dog. The gardens are great - particularly if you have kids. Bouncy castle! Climbing frames! Enclosed spaces!! The food however was pretty bad. Sorry! Chips that had the potato fried out of existence so they were like hollow sticks with oil. Fish where the batter was solid and, seeping oil. I feel bad leaving a poor food review as the staff were so nice. Weβll come back for drinks. Skip the food. My youngest 9yo said βthese chips are ok dad. I managed to eat some of them. But they are the worst chips Iβve ever hadβ

The starters were good but donβt have βthe Boots famous roast beef rollβ it was cold, pale and insipid and the meat was tasteless. The waitress didn't check on our meal and the experience spoiled my sonβs birthday.
