Had a family meal here and was great, cozy welcoming pub with great selection of food at a reasonable price.
Held a 50th wedding anniversary in the function room last week, and Mike and his team were absolutely wonderful. The food was fantastic, and everyone commented on how beautiful the function room and pub were. It’s what I call a proper pub—and there aren’t many of those left! I would highly recommend this great pub, which caters perfectly for any event.
Popped in last night for dinner with friends. Lovely location with plenty of parking. Bar staff were lovely, big smiles and kind and courteous at all times. Food was classic pub fare but done very well. My brie burger was superbly cooked and the risotto is to be recommended also. Will definitely be returning, hopefully to try the great value Sunday roast.

Nice pub adjacent to the lock. On days when the weather cooperates one can sit outside and enjoy a meal by the waterway. Prices are fairly reasonable.
We had a delicious Sunday roast all cooked perfectly, with crispy roast potatos. Delicious.
