The pub is beautifully refurbished and the feels so welcoming and friendly now its brighter with new furniture. Had lunch here today, it was really nice, great value and good choice. Highly recommend.
I love this pub! Great staff, lovely atmosphere and I must say the food is delicious . Since the new management has taken over , Chantal has really transformed The Maypole. They have really improved their customer service and started serving food (at last). I love going here midweek for tasty lunches but my favourite is their Sunday Roast. Always have the best deals on for drinks.
The Maypole is beautifully refurbished, new Management are a great team and asset to this pub. It is a traditional, warm and comforting vibe inside and outside. Their beer garden has a fantastic, warm and secure setting. The new menu and food is delicious! The amount of food you get for the price you pay is unbeatable and their selection of beer, cider, soft drinks and snacks are excellent. There are also 'cosy corners' if you fancy a first date there, a juke box to enjoy any music taste and live Sky sports on several TVs to choose from. They have a pool table too just to top off the enjoyment of the night! They have great weekday and weekend entertainment such as Happy hour 12-4pm Mon-Friday, £3.00 beer Mondays, Double-ups Tuesdays, Wine Wednesday, FREE pool Thursdays and Fizz Fridays!
Have a quite a few greats nights since the refurb and new management have taken over. Bar Staff all very welcoming and warming always smiling and so friendly. Nicky the New Landlady always smiling and lovely to everyone that comes in. Quick service but they don't rush you and always ask how you are, which is nice and what a proper local pub should be.
Called up around 12pm Sunday 29th for a table that day at 2pm for 7 people Spoke with a lovely lady called Lisa who accommodated us. Arrived for lunch., greeted by Lisa who was lovely. Roast is fantastic. Will be back

We have just had an amazing Sunday Roast. Lots of beef, crispy roast potatoes and fresh veg, very filling. We were recommended and will definately come back.
In her own words “I’ve been waiting all my life for this moment” On top of being Elvis Number 1 fan my daughter has complex health needs and learning disabilities. The Maypole Pub always makes her feel so welcome. Lovely bar staff, friendly local’s definitely will be back soon.
1st ever visit..halfway home on walk and wanted to watch Rugby League final on my phone. (Soccer on sky inside). Spacious and good value..Sat quietly outside..Great range on beers.. Well done
