   The place is a community hub. It, like many properties in the area, is in bad shape looking from the outside, but inside is a pleasant surprise. There is a nice-looking garden at the rear. The main issue with noise was actually the very, very loud voice of the lady who was serving behind the bar. She's only small but a voice like a foghorn. We were trying to chat at a table distant from the bar, and there were a number of customers in the pub. However, she single-handedly was able to stop us from hearing each other. We didn't order food. I think it might've been good. The pub has some lovely little items of snail related decor and other really good art. I would go back if the lady in question was having a day off. Edit- Went back. Food was good and bonus- the loud staff member was absent so that made everything more relaxing!

   A wonderful country pub. We sat right by the little open fire and had a terrific family meal. The staff couldn’t be any nicer and the food was absolutely fantastic. Even the kids who are fussy eaters cleared their plates. Looking forward to returning in the Spring and have a walk after lunch! Keep up the good work!!

   Lovely pub, unfortunately a bad experience. We booked a table for my friends 23rd birthday meal. Unfortunately when we turned up at 7pm, we were informed the chef had already gone home. The failed to contact us prior which left us with nowhere to go.

   Food was great, we had the seafood sharing platter which was freshly cooked, tasty and a good amount for 2 people. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return if we are around this way again. Recommended.
