   Came here for the Sunday roast and I cannot recommend it enough. Our table was right next to the fire, lovely service and lovely roast. Starters and desserts also very good. Can’t wait to visit here again. Pub is in a really nice location near Hampstead heath

   This is a cosy and welcoming pub with a lovely lit fireplace, which was great, especially coming into the dark nights! The food was SUPERB with very friendly, attentive staff. There was an Irish Folk group on and the whole atmosphere was electric. They have other things on different nights, so we will definitely be returning to this gem of a pub.

   I love this cozy local pub! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff are fantastic—special shoutout to Ben, who always goes above and beyond. They’ve got a great selection of beers, tasty food, and the weekday discounts are a nice bonus. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

   This is a lovely pub on a quiet back street in Hampstead. The food is relatively typical pub food, but all is well-prepared. We had fish and chips, a pub burger, chicken Caesar salad, and tomato and burrata. Everything was lovely. They have a nice selection of beers as well as cocktails. We had a lovely peaceful dinner here. The setwas excellent, a d the staff gracious. Thus is a nice choice amongst the many pubs in Hampstead.

   Went to The Old White Bear for a Sunday roast—we booked ahead and both went for the chicken. Portions were generous, and the food was good—the veg was especially tasty—but it didn’t quite make the list of top roasts we’ve had in London. Still very enjoyable, just not standout. Service was a little slow, even with few other tables around, but the staff were friendly and welcoming. The pub itself is a charming, proper boozer with a great drinks selection at reasonable prices. The front tables get the afternoon sun, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed drink. We’d definitely go back for the atmosphere and a pint, more so than the food. A solid stop to include on a Hampstead pub crawl!

   Great pub and the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a while! Highly recommend the black pudding scotch egg perfect is the only word I can find to describe it. Really nice staff! Food was 10 out of 10.

   Just the best pub in London. It’s such a cozy place to end up after a cold, wet, winter hike…and there’s always friendly dogs wandering around, which is a big plus.

   The Old White Bear in Hampstead is a delightful old but modern pub, airy, bright and comfortable. The staff here are jolly and efficient. The beer is varied and well kept. Plenty of food on offer, excellent! Additional seating at the front of the pub overlooking a quiet street. There is a good villagey feel to the pub. A great place for a drink.

   Apparently this pub has been closed for eight or more years and finally reopened in December 2021! Really pleased to see that it wasn’t redeveloped during that time into flats or something else we don’t need more of… Good pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord and more reasonably priced than many of the neighbouring pubs. Also quite spacious inside with nice decor, and benches out front. Children and dog friendly too. I was welcomed warmly upon arrival, which is always a positive. It deserves to do well!
