   Drove 20mins to go here on Christmas day with my parents as we do every year (this was our tradition) Not anymore. we arrived at 11:15 as the website said it opens at 11am. The lady behind the bar was happy to serve us until a gentleman came out from the back and told us with a snarky attitude the pub was not open until 12 directly contradicting the website. It couldn't have been more obvious he just couldn't be bothered to follow the opening times and wanted to have a lazy morning for Christmas day. Extremely disappointed and has spoiled our Christmas morning!!!

   I took my grandchildren to the pumpkin carving evening. They made a real effort, atmosphere was lovely, lots to do and children loved it. Would definately recommend.

   Today she was just at breakfast. With the whole family. I love this place. Everything is fresh, served quickly, access to the buffet, delicious bread, crispy toast.And this peace... We calmly ate the amazing oatmeal with baked nectarines. Thank you to the staff and the chef for such a tasty morning :)

   Popped here one Saturday evening with some friends. It was busy as expected, but the friendly and accommodating waitress found a table for the 3 of us. I wasn't feeling a starter, so just the main course...I went for the sausages and crushed potatoes...but ordered it as mash by mistake, the waitress asked me if I'd prefer mash instead, to which I said "yes". I believe the menú online is now with mash as they may have updated it. Anyway, I got 3 decent sized leek and herb sausages, the mash, some cabbage, gravy, and a piece of cracking. Not a bad meal, but it all lacked flavour to me...bland sausages, bland gravy, the mash and cabbage was okay and the cracking a nice addition...but that's it. This is a British classic that didn't quite hit the spot for me, and at £16 it was a bit overpriced for bangers and mash. Service was professional and not overbearing. It's worth a visit if you want some pub grub and a beer in the garden.

   Went for lunch and a drink. I had the burger and chips which my partner enjoyed I had the chicken and avocado salad, the dressing on the salad and avocado were good, the only thing was the chicken was slightly overcooked but it certainly wasn't unpleasant. The toilet is very clean and presentable.
