Excellent Indian food for a pub. They have found a good balance between maintaining the atmosphere of a pub and offering very good quality food (unlike the big chain pubs in the area) I'd recommend it.

Extremely Disappointed I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. We ordered online from Just eat, butter chicken, and it was shockingly sweet—completely unappetising and inedible. We had to throw it away as it wasn’t something I could serve to my family. The parathas were far too thick, and the overall preparation of every item we ordered—Tandoori butter chicken, butter naan, chilli garlic naan, and prawn puri—was extremely poor. The food lacked flavour, quality, and authenticity. It felt like nothing about it was genuinely Indian, despite the name and theme of the restaurant. Everything tasted off, as if prepared without care or proper recipe. On top of that, the prices were exorbitant for the quality delivered. It was a complete waste of time and money. I’m honestly shocked at how bad the experience was—this was a culinary disaster. I will not be ordering again and would strongly advise others to avoid it.

Have visited this lovely pub on numerous occasions but have never tried the food until last night and it was absolutely fantastic. Booked a table for myself and some friends and I arrived early and settled down with a nice glass of Rose and waited for my friends to arrive. Really nice atmosphere with plenty of people and a live band. The menu has a good variety of food and when it arrived it was absolutely delicious and the portions were larger than expected. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and despite it being a rainy Saturday evening the place was full with plenty of people. Will definitely be back again and would highly recommend this lovely pub

Fantastic, the Old Sergeant pub on the south end of Wandsworth, close to the Wandle River is superb. Great choice of keg beers and three casks on offer. Brilliant staff to look after you. The menu, Indian and exciting and not expensive. Great place.

Food is really great and delicious (Indian dishes) Place is all in one- you can choose to relax and have a drink in their garden or inside and join the activities they have for the day (Quiz Night, Live Band etc) Service- Accomodating and Friendly 100% Recommend

Great place to just chill out. Lovely game's room upstairs pool table, and darts. Barmen even made a pizza for the kids on the house. Food is good and plentyful. Staff are friendly and not pretentious, unlike some pubs in the area.

Really good place. First time here but had a Monday menu deal. A pont of Beer and burger, for just £10.98 and the burger was really good and well presented.

A wonderful little pub. The barmaids were lovely: friendly and helpful. There is an outdoor area under cover that would be great in summer. Everything was clean and tidy. Myriad seating options available. The Guinness was excellent as was the Harvey's Sussex Best.

We have been regular customers 4 years ago, but because of bad management and rude attitude, we stop visiting The old Sergeant. This Sunday we accidentally pop up for a beer and we had a chance to try one of the best Sunday roast. I'm quite picky regarding the food and I have been nicely surprised but the new owners, friendly staff and delicious food. I would recommend it again.

Popped in on a Thursday evening. It was dead so no atmosphere at all. The bar staff struggled to understand the order (language barrier) or use the till. Scampi fries £1.50 a bag. Ouch. Won't be in a rush to return. Edit: As a non regular you call it as you see it. No need to pass on any concerns. It can't be easy to be thrust into a front service role like that having just entered the country and with limited language skills. Good luck to the girl.
