I ordered food, was overcharged. I explained I ordered an EXTRA not a whole meal. Bar man said he misunderstood but CANNOT refund me. Checked with manager Paul and he also refused to refund me. So I've paid £4 more for a mistake the bar man made and they don't care if I write a review! This pub is shocking, I've been here 7 years now. Poor service, dead after 8pm and the manager is extremely rude and doesn't care. Right now as we speak there is a huge queue of people at the bar, going outside the door. Poor service. Never will come here again.

Greeted by a typical grumpy Sam Smith’s barman, we ordered a couple of halves and went outside into the beer garden. The flowers and Swiss chalet feel are unique for a London pub and we enjoyed the large garden both in the back and out the front. Inside it is quite old, tired and musty if that’s more your thing.

The interior of the pub is very cosy and the staff are polite and helpful. The food is good and tasty . On sunday there was live music ( jazz ) . There's park available but needs to pay for the time u staying. After 6pm its free on the residential area . Lovely place to spent with family or friends .Recommend it

Driven past this pub since I moved to London in 1992 but first time in there today!! Lovely atmosphere. Wooden interior (playing on Swiss chalet I guess). Very busy from 5pm on Friday, a few large groups. We ate supper - a great scampi and chips, and good value for £12.50. Would visit again.

Fantastic atmosphere, nice staff and very tasty cider and fish and rice (I chose rice instead of chips)!

Famous pub that gave its name to the surrounding district of London and its tube station. Only the ground floor is accessible these days, but that is a spacious area for eating traditional pub food and drinking (Samuel Smith beers etc.). Small beer garden outside is popular on sunny days.

Definitely Ye Olde. Went on a Saturday evening, it was surprisingly busy inside but was able to find a table, actually moved outside in the end because just was not nice inside. It is incredibly outdated, the carpet is stained with 100 years of dirt and beer. The tables and chairs are also very short? As if for mh great ancestors. The ales on offer are not too bad though. Don't recommend getting a cocktail but that shouldn't come as a surprise. Service left something to be desired. If you're desperate for a pint then come and sit outside.

Such a peculiar Alpine House placed in between of two busy avenues and a rush environment. Inside the pub the decor is quite cosy with regular wooden walls and leather sits. Some of the furniture needs to be refurbish or changed, but is comfortable. The staff is very sympathetic and alert. Good beers, but the cider was a little warm. The plates are quite big and worth the price. The outside are is a must depending on the weather.
