Such a cool spot that isn’t on one of the crazy busy streets. Beer was great, I got the jubel peach, and the peri-peri wings were also delicious but a bit spicy for me!

I had such a great experience thanks to Albert! He couldn’t have been more welcoming. Proper friendly, had a bit of banter, and knew their stuff when it came to the drinks. He also made me and my friends feel welcome and taken care of. The service was quick even though it was busy, and they kept things running smoothly all night. Makes such a difference having staff who actually enjoy what they do. I'll definitely be back for another round of drinks!

Very nice and welcoming pub, had the steack and ale pie that was scrumptions along with the sticky toffee pudding which was tasty but could use some more love. Overall was a great experience, would recommend people to pass by.

Very tasty food and valued for its price. The only negative is that many dishes were running out from the menu. Something that disappoints me a bit when I go to pubs. But on the other hand this is normal when a lot of people have lunch in pubs, so I can't have very high expectations. Overall a very good pub with nice food.

It was my first visit to London, and this restaurant was the perfect place to experience authentic fish and chips. The staff were friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, and the interior had a charming, vintage atmosphere. It was a truly enjoyable meal. I highly recommend this place to travelers visiting London.

Great place, amazing decor and really good food! Service was great and the people were very polite. We had fish and chips and it was delicious. The only thing that didn’t stick was the music, it was modern pop/rap but it wasn’t playing loud so it didn’t bother us and we could chat easily and comfortably. We came around 6 PM

Great little pub in the heart of London. We came across the Golden Lion on our walk to The Theatre. We decided to pol in for coffee but ended up having lunch which was delicious. Wd chose four starters from the menu which we shared. Bubbly atmosphere in the downstairs bar area, where we ate. Discovered the lovely upstairs area when I visited the ladies. Love the theatrical photographs which adorn the staircase walls. If in the area we would recommend a visit, even if only for a pre theatre drink.

It's a classic. It's intimate. It's in St James London. Here I watched the TV coverage of the Queen Elizabeth 11 Platinum Jubilee celebrations and the the funeral ceremony for this magic figure at Westminster Cathedral. In the Golden Lion the feelings were warm and close. Recommend at any time. CH

Had a few pints here with some friends on a Saturday afternoon, walking around we had randomly stumbled into the area and ended up here. It was a very serendipitous find! Staff were very nice. Great vibe. People were coming and going, some were playing cards, some were reading - very cool. It is near the tourist areas but just off the beaten track so not crazy busy on this particular time. Good selection of beer, was a bit bummed they had ran out of Landlord ale. I would stop recommended a stop for a pint here for sure, maybe next time I’d get some food and explore it more.
