Definitely does live up to the hype as one of the best roasts in south. I didn’t get his name, but the manager running the floor this last Sunday was nothing but warm, friendly and accommodating. They were busy, he found us seating and also sorted out some colouring for the little one we had with us. Food absolutely top notch.

Affordable roasts and huge yorkshire puds! Good selection of beers on draught and always friendly service. Very accomodating for dogs - they even gave us a doggy bowl so we could feed her some of our leftovers.

Very nice place. Good welcome, hospitality is good, staff helpful. Good selection of food and drink, and we're repeat customers as it's so consistently high quality. Get a loyalty card, save points and get cash equivalent plus the card holder gets a free birthday meal each year. Reasonable value now prices have risen with the extortionate costs in the UK in 2023, very dog friendly - heartily recommended. Sunday lunch is good, with consistent quality. The loss of the original manager and then the replacement, plus regular turnover of staff means that the pub is often understaffed and service suffers, so only 2 stars for service. Food quality still good. It would present better value to be more sensible about offers on things like groups of shots or jugs of beer, or Sangria or similar, but staff are often dogmatic and unhelpful so lose my business for such items because of this attitude that completely fails the customer and does not offer value.

My lovely local, great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I used to run pubs so it's always nice having a decent boozer with a great heart and warm and lovely people. Especially with Covid it's nice to have a peaceful place to unwind and unplug. Good luck and congrats to the new landlady,, who just got the pub and became a grandma!!! #excitingtimes

Only dropped in for a coffee but was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff offering good service. Nicely decorated and fairly clean. Coffee was great and sensibly priced. Looking at the menu, it seems like all the food is similarly priced. Can't comment on quality as I didn't eat.

Really nice, less expensive than some with a mixed and diverse crowd and super-attentive bar/wait staff. Went for a couple, stayed for a few more, watched the footie and had a decent burger and chips. My friend said that while he was waiting on his own the checked if he needed anything and offered him water while he waited for me full marks, I'll be back.
