Very much enjoyed a family Christmas gathering there, unfortunately 1 of my family members who was 18 with a digital copy of her passport was not enough to allow her to have a glass of wine with her lunch even though the law is 16 with food accompanied by an adult. I appreciate it is the season and pub policy but felt this was slightly heavy handed and left her a bit embarrassed, food and other service wise we were well attended and was very tasty. Well priced given the venue aesthetics and location.

Came for a Christmas dinner with family and 2 big dogs. The staff were great and very accommodating, food was so good - with it being a Christmas set menu, we weren’t expecting it to be amazing but the food really exceeded expectations. Beautiful interior too and really nice and clean. Very dog friendly and nice outdoor seating, and the best thing is that it’s right on the common so you can go for a nice walk after.

I've always liked The Windmill, the ambience there is always warm and welcoming and I love the style of the restaurant since it was refurbished a few years ago. I was really excited to try their winter menu as it had a lot of dishes that appealed. We went on a Wednesday 12th Nov '25 and sat in the restaurant. It was quiet, a few tables here and there. The Waitress looked bored and disinterested, maybe she was new? I had the Blue cheese, pear and walnut tart starter. It was delicious but it was definitely a pear tart, with a bit of blue cheese (very sparse!) but it tasted good. My bf had the pork chop for a main which he said was very tasty for the price (Β£20). The highlight was the bread butter pudding! That was DELICIOUS. I feel like the venue, the menu all suggest the food is going to be superb but I did feel a little underwhelmed. I know I'm particular, though! I still always come back :)

We booked for a hen-do lunch at the Windmill Inn at the start of our weekend having flown in to London from Guernsey. We were staying near by and the Windmill staff were very accommodating when we arrived early with all our suitcases. The staff were welcoming and patient with our large group, and our drinks and food were all served in good time. They were happy when we played a couple of civilised hen party games at the table too. The food was really good! Lots of choices to choose from with different options to suit different tastes. It set us up nicely for our weekend of partying! Thank you to the Windmill Inn - we all really enjoyed our few hours with you.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. Rooms have every amenity you could ever need. Extremely comfortable in every way. We had dinner in the pub area - food was delicious- really good " Pub Grub". Breakfast the next morning - again delicious. Food is extremely good quality, cooked well. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the staff are all great, very helpful and friendly. Really delighted we found this little gem. Will definitely be back when visiting our daughter who lives nearby.

We had a late afternoon Sunday lunch at the Windmill. Arrived to what was a very busy restaurant which did not stop the waitress getting us seated and the drinks on the table quickly. The food came which was the beef porterhouse Sunday roast for 3 which was just what we needed and hit the spot. Great service, great food and perfect beer to. Would recommend for Sunday lunch.

Popped in to get a Sunday roast, without booking there was a long wait for the restaurant, however managed to find a table in the bar and still able to order off of the same menu. Had a lovely roast which was full of flavour and was a superb portion size, certainly left feeling full! Absolutely delicious!! The service and ambiance of the windmill is relaxed, warm, inviting and cosy. Attend you won’t be disappointed.

Had Christmas dinner here! Lovely vibe, with great interior aesthetics. The three course meal was delicious. Definitely worth it. Service was on point too.

The Windmill is a delightful well presented pub with guest rooms (in case you don't want to leave) good beer and very pleasant surroundings. Situated on the edge of Clapham Common, one can even take some exercise. Staff are friendly and welcoming, quick to serve and seem happy. Loads of nooks and crannies to explore. A most pleasant visit!

Great pub/restaurant for a roast. Not the cheapest but portion sizes are huge! Dog friendly and usually very busy. Would recommend booking a table in advance but they do leave some tables available for walk-ins
