Walked in to a completely blank expression, like we’d accidentally wandered into a staff meeting, despite having a booking. Got plonked on a table right next to the order point and then waited about 10 minutes while multiple staff members stood around looking like they’d rather be anywhere else. No welcome, no vibe, just pure indifference. The place was boiling for absolutely no reason - I’m not even pre-menopausal, so I fear for anyone with hot flushes. Service was painfully slow at every stage and staff were cold throughout. Not ideal when you’re hoping to find a nice local to bring friends and family to over Christmas. Food was the saving grace: big portions, came out hot and fast. Taste was fine, nothing memorable. Overall, the atmosphere gave strong “end of the world pub” energy — like everyone in there was an NPC waiting for the simulation to reset. No community, hospitality, lacks diversity - gives closing down soon due to bad management

After a stroll around Clapham we stumbled upon this lovely pub and decided it was the perfect spot for lunch. The weather was gorgeous, so we grabbed a table outside. We started with the sausage roll, which honestly might be one of the best I’ve ever had. I followed it with the braised cheek with bacon jam, which I absolutely adored, while my friend went for the fish and chops. The atmosphere was really enjoyable, and the service, well, let’s just say our waitress seemed to be having one of those days. It wasn’t terrible, just… noticeable. Still, it didn’t spoil anything. Definitely a great spot for good food and a relaxed drink.

We always love our visits to the Rose & Crown, especially on a Sunday! The butternut squash soup and truffled cauliflower cheese were particular show stoppers at our last visit. Big thanks to chef Yolandie for providing such quality ☺️

Lola was amazing. We had such great service as she was so sweet and very attentive. The breakfast was ok. Good enough for a full English. The Dutch baby Yorkshire pudding was the yummiest The sun was out and the energy of the venue was there pretty awesome too.

Good pub for a roast. Well decorated and good location. Beef roast and pork roast came with some triple cooked potatoes, red cabbage, greens and carrots. Prices slightly on the higher side, but becomes very reasonable with firsttable

Lunch with the guys after a workout at the common. Wow! Food was really good. Impressive. Good selection of drinks as well. Servings were generous. With the exception of the chicken breast, but it does look very gourmet. I had the caesar salad. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Service was excellent. Facilities were clean. Chairs were quite comfortable.

I have been before a few times when they first reopened. I was told they had a new menu that I had to try. The food is even better than before! We got the Venison and the Pork Chop, high recommend. The team are all so friendly as always and they have a really cool winter terrace at the front now. Well done guys!
