I took my parents to The Rose for a Sunday roast, and we all left happy and full! Even after polishing off our roasts, we couldn’t resist dessert. The sticky toffee pudding topped with clotted cream was an absolute treat. The atmosphere was cosy and perfect for a family lunch, and the service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a lovely spot for a relaxed Sunday meal. We’ll definitely be back.

We stopped to have dinner due our Airbnb being around the corner. Food was ok to be honest not what I was expecting.

We had such a fantastic time at The Rose that I feel compelled to share it. From start to finish, the experience was faultless. The food was outstanding – the scotch eggs were perfection: crisp and golden on the outside, with a beautifully soft centre, and seasoned just right. The chips were the kind you always hope for in a pub but rarely find – hot, perfectly cooked, fluffy inside and wonderfully crunchy on the outside. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and done with care. What really elevated our visit, though, was the service. Our waitress, Alice, went above and beyond to make sure everything was spot on. She was warm, attentive, and genuine – always checking in at the right moments without ever being intrusive. She made us feel completely welcome and added such a personal touch to the whole evening. It’s rare these days to find a pub that gets everything right – great food, great atmosphere, and truly exceptional service – but The Rose absolutely nailed it. We’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be recommending it to friends and family without hesitation.

A bit quiet when we went but it's Easter weekend on a Saturday night. Staff were great, good service, had a bit of chat and the food was excellent. Plenty of offers on through the week and we'll be back to try the Sunday roast sometime soon. Fish and chips was particularly excellent, firm but cooked perfectly and with a lovely batter. Squid starter was also great (I'm told) nicely cooked chunks of squid if that's your thing.

Lunch was perfect, just what we wanted. Very family friendly with lot of lively children and animated parents. Although very busy the staff was charming at all times.

This bar has a great beer garden with a nice water feature, the staff are friendly and polite. The bar is dog friendly. I often pop in for a beer on my way home. Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area

Really nice cute place to visit, especially in the summer with the outdoor seating. Lovely garden. I have visited this place a few times and the staff are generally friendly. For me, the place needs a bit more of a vibe when there aren't many people there (which seems to be the case when I was visiting) maybe some music or something

Oh wow what a fantastic Sunday roast with the family. Friendly attentive staff, massive portions and good atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and enjoy the 2 for 1 cocktails from 4pm again and the massive roast sharing platter, we were a table of 9 and so much food on the platter, was enough for seconds and third.
