    Took a few hours out of London for the day and stumbled upon this lovely local pub in Caterham. It always seems intimidating when you first open the door on a proper community pub but that soon disappeared when the lady belong the bar made me feel very welcome along with the regulars. Great atmosphere, very friendly crowd and a lovely pint of Guinness. However, the icing on the cake was the round of Sunday roasties; something which is quite rare in the pubs these days but that’s how you know it’s a proper little local boozer. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I return. Thanks for making my Sunday that bit better ⭐️

    Not my usual.pub but was very pleasantly surprised. Went there as I knew the football would be on. Very friendly customers and landlord. Its had a few landlords during my years in Caterham and I think Danny is one of the best. Real ale was in very good condition. I wish him every success for the future

    Newly refurbished, great bar staff and service, went with a mate today to try out the food and was not disappointed. The quality and presentation were suberb. I recommend the mighty oak burger!

    Visited the Royal Oak for a couple of parties recently, have to say the team are so attentive and friendly! Spoke to the owners and their morales and consideration for the team is fantastic. Would really recommend for parties or even just for a bev, the drinks are reasonably priced and the team are lovely.
